@dr_andus: yeah, that sucks...

Turned out the AMD gfx card had developed a hardware issue, and since my Vaio model didn't allow to replace it, it was time for a new PC.  :down:

I decided to buy an Acer, and am just in the process of installing everything. I love how quiet it is!  :up:

Wayback didn't help and rolling back (sadly) wasn't an option, but I now contacted the AMD support. They pointed me to the 15.7 version (http://support.amd.c...0-%2064&rev=15.7). Fingers crossed!

Hello,

I have a nasty BSOD problem with atikmpag.sys (and my Radeon 5650). Windows can only be started in Safe Mode (and a really bad screen resolution), but after spending many hours to look for solutions and trying some of them I'm confident that what I now need is to install the CCC 15.7 WHQL.

Sadly, I can only find version 15.7.1 and that's not fixing the BSOD.

Does anyone here have better search skills or the version 15.7 installer still on their HD?

Thanks for the pointer. I came to really like VLC, but only as a video player. For speeding up audio, I prefer a player with a better UI (showing the current speed, being able to quickly change it to back to 100% speed and speed it up to the previous speed again, ...).

KMPlayer could do that (and many other things) easily!

Look for the last good versión. 2.9.4.1435 before became crapware with Pandora.

- I read that you can optionally not install additional stuff (like Pandora) when installing. Is that not true for the latest version?

Installed both Winamp and PaceMaker, works like a charm! :up:  I even found out that I had registered PaceMaker back in 2006 (it works without, but registration gives you enhanced options).  8)

I like it (in general), but it only delivers a Mickey Mouse-effect when speeding up playback. :down:  I'll keep it around as an alternative for VLC though.

Looks like I need to try PaceMaker again.

Hello,

Maple JB for Android is rather good for what I need when not at home, now I'm looking for something for Windows. Does anyone know a good one? Freeware if possible, I don't need it frequently enough to justify a big purchase price.

Presets (i.e., "play at 1.6x speed") and an easy way to increase/decrease speed would be great. Maybe even an option to delete the file after listening. And if I could use it to launch a file (to be played) directly from Windows Explorer (like with mp3directcut)... now that would be perfect! 8)

Hello!

I have several scripts that load a website and interact with it in some way. Because it was the easiest-to-code solution, I'm using "sleep" for the script to wait until the site has loaded. That sucks though, because load times depend on Windows and server load and so I either have to use really long "sleep" times (zzzZzZzz...) or short "sleep" times that then cause the script to fail because the site hasn't yet fully loaded.

I'd love to be able to use a solution that detects if a given pixel has color #whatever (I imagine something like "PixelGetColor, 500, 600" and "IfPixelColor = ..."). I googled around and there doesn't seem to be a good solution for this yet. Or maybe Chrome can report back to AHK somehow that it has finished loading that tab?

Any ideas?  :)

After a long time I started to use Process Tamer again. I like it, it's just that all the 0% Chrome processes clutter up its GUI, even though the "hide <1% normal CPU" option is enabled. (Yes, I use *many* tabs!) Any chance you could fix that?

It has been a looong time since I read the GTD book, so I'm not 100% sure what I took from it and what I learned elsewhere, but if I recall correctly, using lists that are context specific is from GTD. So I now use https://mail.google.com/tasks/canvas (because I can edit it in the web browser and there's an app for that) for lists of all kinds. Weekly shopping, calling people, project work, what I want for xmas, whatever. Amazing!

Another great thing for productivity (at least for me) is email: I email 'stuff' (ideas, reminders, links, things to do when back at the PC, ...) to myself almost every day. And since I use a specific address alias (https://support.goog...l/answer/12096?hl=en), Gmail automatically applies a label, which helps to find/ process them later. I use a different address alias for "some day, maybe" stuff. Those emails get a label too, but don't even show up in my Inbox. Very helpful.

Hi,

my goal is to have a single web page online that contains some text, an image and a YouTube video. Other than that, I'd love to have buttons that reveal/hide additional content when clicked (is that done with HTML 5?). Are there tools available online to do that?

My HTML coding skills are roughly zero and the result shouldn't look like it has been put together by a monkey on crack.  8)

I already have a web server where I plan to put it.

I gave up on uBlock Origin when it blocked sourceforge completely - there was (deservedly) a bit of a fuss about sourceforge lately, but was surprised to see an adblocker blocking a whole site.

Just wanted to share my appreciation for this extension with you guys. It's faster/more resource-friendly than the well-known ad blockers and - like them - allows you to define elements you want to block on pages. I rarely need that, but I love to have that option when I do.

You are quick! :) Thanks! Is it possible for you to base the code on the "free" RAM instead on the "available" RAM? For me, free RAM is a much better indicator: things tend to slow down when all free RAM is used up (probably because of increased pagefile usage).

I found this game called FloTiles, that might do what you want, but I suppose you may have to make a screenshot of the resulting puzzle, to be able to keep it as a new image file.
