ToDoList is adopted !!!
I have some doubts :
Wonderful interaction with Stickies. A program i am using some years ago.
Wonderful option to export branchs of a tasklist to another tasklist

My doubts :
1. Can I modify a task to depend of other "a posteriori" ? New dependent task below selected task is possible to obtain in other ways ?
2. Can I edit the xml file associated to the tasklist to modify directly ?
3. When I add a task file link how can I edit or delete. I don't see the option.

I think may be enough to split the rtf file or the word file by epigraphs and giving any splitted file a sequential name.

I know is possible in word split a document in pages. Why not in epigraphs ? .
But this word epigraph is not the correct word in english I afraid.
I refer to the organization of the text
Index
1. Name
2. Calculations
3. Drawings
4. Tables
5. Budget
Really are the bookmarks . Split a word file by the bookmarks.
 

But in the rtf file probably don't exists


1.- MEMORIA DESCRIPTIVA
2.- MEMORIA JUSTIFICATIVA
3.- MÉTODOS DE INSTALACIÓN EMPLEADOS
4.- DEMANDA DE POTENCIA
5.- CUADROS RESUMEN POR CIRCUITOS
6.- CUADROS RESUMEN POR TRAMOS
7.- MEMORIA DETALLADA POR CIRCUITOS
8.- CUADROS RESUMEN DE PROTECCIONES
9.- LISTADO DE MATERIALES

These are the marks or bookmarks , the places where to split the word document.

I will treat then some of these "components" to be inserted in the master document.

Now I know why I am so fascinating with BPMN software . It's integration software. But that probably is impossible to be freeware.

In the other hand is how a script I use every month to open the month. Include several adaptation processes. By example change the month where I locate the screenshots taken with Screenshot captor and many other details. But a simple bat is enough to remember me. And a similar bat when I change of year. The folder for scanned documents, the folder to save images, etc.

I will continue dreaming with Bizagi.

Thanks to your observations I noticed that I usually don't have to make the things in one hour. Only do all the things.

So my problem is not a task manager. It's a check list !!!!!!!!!

Do you know a check list software able to manage sub lists ? Able to manage conditional check lists ? By example if some fails may be necessary to do a sort of things different.

Curiously I found a program that mostly adapt to my "last discovery" . And the name is also ToDoList

I discover in my pc with Everything trying to find the executable of ToDoList.

Interacting check lists...

I have to find the software in internet. I will put here to show what is simpler. Our ToDoList is more powerful because have tabs . We can open several task lists... And take control of these tasks to check in several ways....

I hope to find the more simple way. As you know that is not one of my qualities....
I think may be a lot of ways to do this.
My target is mingle or mix blocks of text from the rtf file with a doc file.

I insert the rtf file with the blocks of text I need to select or save for the next step...

I have used different colors when the blocks are contigous...
 

I have found scripts to extract all the comments to a word file
or extract all bookmarks to a new doc file.

I think this is possible, but not easy.

There are also in web links to c# language and others (mainly VB) to extract or automating word inserting/extracting text in some places...

Yes !. But don't go. Offer me webs not files . Really that command don't filter well. In the assisted version of advanced search of google don't offer this extension. Only the common ones : doc, xls, pdf,...

Trying with various formats of compressing the rtf file that is not accepted .



Edited : the attachthumb appear in the code before posting and after nothing !!!

I come back ATH.

I adjunt the file I need to collect paragraphs . It's a RTF file. A technical file with electrical calculations. In other words an Electrical memory.
My target is search that file scanning the beginning of some strings . When found complete the string to the end of the line and collect the number of lines we want to a csv file.

I hope you analyze the file and tell me is possible use your script for this purpose.

Is always this type of file. I need an array to write down the beginnings of strings and the number of lines to collect from the word rtf document.

Thanks a lot Shades.

The answer from Microsoft forum is similar.
They recommend to try winword /safemode or winword /a from start-command to see if the problem is solved relating to addons or addins.
Also deactivate the graphical hardware acceleration.  in the options of the program. options-advanced-
Also try to see is if the problem may be related at that moment with virus or system in bad state...

I note a slight different after all proofs and perhaps I am using a special view with word in my "six monitors pc".

 

I will continue investigating.

If you know me then you know i am always in rebellion.
But now, perhaps, for one time in the life I think this is the suitable tool we need when we don't remember if we did.
I was reading about this type of software and seems ideal for programmers too.
And DC is full of programmers and some users of programs like me.
Beautiful software is Bonita open soft with a free version enough to many users

BPMN software seems a very powerful way to manage tasks and projects. Business tasks and business projects.

I have download and try this software offering free options that fullfill my target.

There is a giant amount of documentation in web. I think BPMN is workflow with "addons" (simulation, interaction, ...). I don't think is necessary to read the manual of several hundreds pages to begin using the program.

IQ has 2 built-in methods to manage task dependencies. Gantt chart (MS Project-like) and IQ's own method

I use more posting in the forums, pspad, notepad++ or other software that microsoft office 2010.
I had the same problem with word 2002.
When I write with word 2010 the interaction with the keyboard is different, slower.
It's disgusting and uncomfortable.
I have tried with Libre office and had no problem.
It's only with the damn word.
I think i have made this posting in several ways in the past with no solution.
The windows system allow to interact in general with the keyboard, but configuring word seems not possible.
I would like to know if with one script may be possible before throw myself by the "windows operating damn system".

The response of the keys inside word 2010 is slower. How can I solve this ?

I think is very simple.
Perhaps managing levels. All independents tasks are level 1. You can do in every moment. Level two shows tasks depending of another task (1)
Level Three shows more dependency , because we need solve two task before we can do, etc.

edited : dynamic workflow not only in sequence mode. There are many ways to solve a project not only one.
I dream a workflow modified according to my preferences in steps when possible : independent or dependent tasks...

One way may be in the moment of the task creation.
If is dependent of one or several or if is independent.

 

I am taking a look at TaskArchitect

Perhaps I want something like that. A task solver expressing all relations.

I think another possibility is a tree of options that you can't open a branch while a dependent task is pending.

I don't need time tracking for the occasion.

Nice software indeed with a lot of options.
The option : New dependent Task Below Selected Task seems one of the possible hierarchies.
Or the subtasks that possibility that a task is not complete while the remain any subtask without completion.

But I think don't exist the option : New dependent Task below a group of selected tasks, not only the above one.

I would like the software as a trip of opportunities. I don't want to see an option if the conditions are not given or is a task depending of one or several above.

When an independent task is solved I would like to see the factible ones....

When I open a task list I would like to see only the independent tasks possible...
