I like MediaMonkey so far, many people put lots of thought into its features!

@KaysLover:

whatever you tried to with your last post, it had gone horribly wrong. It's in the trash now, please try again.

And use the Preview button :)

:( And here we fiddle with our puny programs...
I really must learn to program properly!

Skrommel, totally desillusioned...
;D ;D ;D

Come on... while Spore truely looks like FUN, your great AHK tools have a real USE! Every day!

Ok :)

Any thoughts about my suggestion in https://www.donation...57.msg18246#msg18246 ?

Miranda is becoming popular in DC's IRC channel!  :)

If you want to step forward from using Trillian, there's even a Trillian message history importer: http://addons.mirand...viewfile&id=1929

I have a funny thing to report.
Try using winwarden with the default configurations, and go to this link in your browser: https://www.donation...98.msg18245#msg18245
You'll be surprised.
I'm a bit worried now  :o

Hi lanux128, welcome to the amazing world of AutoHotkey!  :D
1233
Thanks to skrommel and Tim Morck for WinWarden 2.0!

After using it a bit and playing with its settings, I wonder if this would be possible for 2.1:

I'm using "Active" and "Deactivated" for a certain window and would love it if WinWarden would immediately react on the "Active" event but would take a few seconds 'regret time' before executing the "Deactivated" event. I guess I could live without that additional feature, but it would be the cream on the top of the (already very tasty) cake!
1234
It works, thanks!!

WinWarden is really impressive, I'm already thinking about other uses for it :)

I wish I could have donated more to you, with SO many AHK tools now on your DC page you really deserve it!

I'm sorry, it's a bit hard to explain... let me try it with my 1337 gfx skills:

http://img428.imageshack.us/img428/8937/desktop13371zi.png

When I'm only in IRC (= green / the blue thing is the desktop), the mouse cursor will usually be above the IRC window too. When I open a message dialog (because I got a private message) it pops up (= red on the image) next to the IRC window, getting focus while the cursor automatically centers above it (this situation is being shown on that image). When I send an answer this automatically closes the message dialog, resulting in the IRC window getting back its focus but the mouse cursor won't be moved back over the IRC window, it stays where it's being shown on that image (hence "but the mouse cursor stays in its old place").

I hope I won't have to come up with more images...?  ;D
1236
*gasp* :D I didn't study rocket science, but I'll try to make it do what I plan to :)

Btw, the two latest programs you added/updated both got a strange "2006.04.02" date in the "HISTORY OF CHANGES", and you might wanna change the URL the WinWarden URL at the top of that points to.

Huh? :D

I suppose you are talking about the first image in my first post in this thread? If so, read that line above that image again :)

Another update (see first post for URL) and a nice FileForum review:

A masterpiece!

I have been using this utility for a while now. As others have remarked, it is impressively quick. It usually delivers results before you've even finished clicking the Search button, and makes XP's Search tool look very poor.

Janne's decision to make it freeware was smart. It has gained her a lot of recognition and kudos as a programmer.

I gave it "5 (high)" but it deserves "high 5" :)

Nothing to add there... (besides the fact that Janne is still male)

Yes, Toaster is great, I'm using it since ages :)

Another nice plugin: DFX for Winamp enhances the sound a lot, it's unbelievable until you heard it yourself, much better than just the equalizer: http://fileforum.bet.../detail/1030468205/1

And now back to the topic :)

Since I'm using the free and great Mp3tag (check http://fileforum.bet.../Mp3tag/1056224000/1 and notice the awesome rating!) I have no use for another, expensive tagger. But I'm more and more interested in a catalog program for long-time storage, so I took a look at the sites mentioned above.

http://www.mediamonkey.com/ looks really good! According to http://fileforum.bet...aMonkey/1004522272/1 it IS a lovely app, I have to try it! Another nice fact about it: "MediaMonkey is generally compatible with Winamp plug-ins written for Winamp 2" (quoted from http://www.mediamonk....com/dsp-plugins.htm ) - so DFX and PaceMaker are working for it too!

Hi,

I'm using Miranda's tabbed IRC window and thought this could be quite helpful:

Because I'm always having loads of windows open on the desktop it would be helpful to automatically move Miranda's IRC window down so that I could see the tabs at any moment (because no other window will be lying over it at that position).

Maybe something using
SetTitleMatchMode, 2
IfWinNotActive, Chat Room
would work ("Chat Room" is always displayed in IRC's window title) for this task?

Normally it looks like this (bottom left of my desktop):

http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/2889/desktopbefore1fq.png

This is what I want when the window is not active/focused:

http://img112.imageshack.us/img112/8991/desktopafter0sa.png

(Before you start to laugh about the big font size: yes, I'm using my monitor at a 2 metre's distance right now)

Post New Requests Here / IDEA: KCOAW - keep cursor over active window
« Last post by brotherS on March 07, 2006, 03:04 AM »
Hi,

since using skrommel's HideDesktop (https://www.donation...dex.php?topic=2259.0) I found that it has a problem with the way my W2k is set up. When a program closes its window automatically the previous active window gets its focus back - but the mouse cursor stays in its old place. When that happens to be over the desktop HideDesktop can't kick in...
:(

So I guess either HideDesktop needs a new option or I need a little script/tool to make the cursor always stay over the active window. Any ideas?

Side note: even if KCOAW is an acronym for WACO and the über-psycho David Koresh it's meant to *solve* a problem, it isn't related to the Waco disaster which resulted from *trying* to solve a problem.

Skrommel's Software / Re: IdleMute - Suggestions and Problems
« Last post by brotherS on March 06, 2006, 03:05 PM »
;D You sound like in desperate need for a simple AHK solution for that "I don't realize if it's muted or not" problem. :)

I never fiddle with SndVol32.exe at all, my system volume is always at max, I only adjust the volume of Winamp and Zoom Player (video player) with hotkeys.

Maybe some AHK script to adjust the system volume plus some kind of indicator would do the trick for you? If so, post it in https://www.donation...index.php?board=71.0

- Problems
When I set the application to run SndVol32.exe on mute and went away from my tablet to meet with someone I came back and it had launched about 20 instances of the volume control and started generating errors because it couldn't launch SndVol32.exe anymore. I believe I had the time set to a short interval as I was testing the application before i went into the impromptu meeting. If you need any details fro my computer let me know. If this is intended, an option to not run the specified application if the system is already muted would be appreciated.
Hi Renae, welcome to the forums!

Why do you let it run SndVol32.exe at all? When you are using Winamp you've got many other options, see page 2 in this IdleMute discussion: https://www.donation...dex.php?topic=1580.0
