General Software Discussion / Re: NoteTab 7 editors released
« Last post by rgdot on July 09, 2012, 07:47 PM »
Notepad++ and RJ Edit are probably enough for 95% of people, including programmers, but of course one may need or like one of the others.

For example (I am not a programmer but I do PHP, HTML and the like) recently Notepad++ has been throwing errors for me. So I use RJ Edit and it's fine and more than enough

Very interesting, I don't remember when and which version but I did try it years ago.

If you have uninstalled and not using it anymore that already exists, 'legally'. I know of at least one example, Rosetta Stone, email them the deactivation code. They have no way of knowing if the other person using it after you have uninstalled didn't pay you for it.

I'll tell you what though... I'm most fascinated by the encyclopedic information on Pepsi he has on his website.

I don't believe anything can be done, even if you do find a way the next spammer will arrive sooner or later.

Sort of techie news,  a cautionary tale of sorts  :-\

SWAT team throws flashbangs, raids wrong home due to open WiFi network

But the family in the home was released without any charges as police realized their mistake. Turns out the home had an open WiFi router, and the threats had been made by someone outside the house. Whoops.

Precisely the reason I am against penalty shootout. It is not really indicative of the game itself. There should be a way to find a winner that is more a reflection of the game itself (Eventhough it is the 'winners' fault for not finding a way to win in 90 or 120 minutes)

As for tomorrow:

Another unlikely one but ...

I have seen differences in www.site.com and site.com. For example in older versions of vBulletin the cookie was defined such that it made a difference.

They should have changed all to @zuckerberg.com

I don't disagree, just pointing it out. Visible by default, no matter what it is, is modus operandi @ facebook and everybody should treat it that way too. Without external (politicians, users and even G+) pressure 99.9% the current privacy settings wouldn't even exist.
1240
At least in my case I can toggle visibility of @facebook and my email

This is really nothing in my opinion, no effect on anybody as far as I can tell. It's probably another step in their messaging system - ie facebook want everything to be facebook, even the part after @

I confess I had no idea, if indeed that's how he felt. Because to me that changes a lot, makes him look a lot like one of those who automatically assumes something new is bad. For example Kindle -and the like - have made book reading more accessible, hipper and one can argue easier. Another example, if you just complain about TV being filled with Jersey Shore type material instead of doing your part in making sure the ratings for better stuff doesn't increase you have achieved little.

It looks really nice but if the pricing is $500+ it will take much more than that. For the general public and market share.
