Living Room / Re: Simple way to connect two computers (both XP) ?
« Last post by lanux128 on August 17, 2010, 12:46 AM »
i guess Stoic may have this covered but just in case, you can access the network connection in the control panel and change the IP address range if you wish. for quick access, type 'ncpa.cpl' in the run box.

you might want to try another Farr plugin called JSCalc. it's a calculator with an ability to add your own functions and many other useful stuff.

if you're into widgets, the Wolfram Alpha website has a few of them built to specific queries.

I feel I'm being picky, but for some reason, once the script starts, I can't minimize by clicking the taskbar icon any more.  I think the focus is being stolen before it cold minimize.
Sorry for being so troublesome.

you don't have to apologize. i probably broke something. :)

btw, try the new upload at the same place as before.

thanks for the quick reply.  I can turn it on and off with hotkeys now, but it doesn't light up the active window, it just darkens the screen.

hmm.. try the new version.

So I commented out Goto,LOOP, which I think there is only one in the script.  When I start it, the screen just flashes once and nothing happens.

ok, try the linked mod then..

Edit: uploaded newer version - mod2.

But wouldn't that disable the loop.  And from what I can tell, that LOOP is the portion that re draws everything.

it shouldn't disable the loop but let me know if it does then we'll modify the script to do want you wanted.

I was wondering how i would be able to enable and disable Ghoster if  hotkeys.

I downloaded the ahk script, and added the hotkey commands:

#a:: Goto, START
#s:: Goto, EXIT

but they only work once for some reason.  I can enable and disable, once, before they stopped working, unless I reload the script.
I even tried using Goto, DESTROY instead of EXIt

try doing this, search for a line like this: Goto,LOOP and comment it out: ;Goto,LOOP.

with WinRAR being actively developed, i don't normally need to reach for another archiver. of course it helps that the file managers i use support opening archives as folders.

i tried all the browsers i have, Firefox, IE, Maxthon, K-Meleon, Iron but no dice.. i'm using OpenDNS, do you think that would be the problem?

anyway, i'd just connect via a proxy, might have a better chance. :)

« Last post by lanux128 on August 01, 2010, 10:50 AM »
i've noticed this for sometime and it bothers me a bit since i use SC not just as a screenshot tool but also for managing the captured images.

it's like this, if i capture 'selected region' of an area in Firefox, SC will name it as "Firefox.exe-01_08_2010_001.png" which is good since that is how i've defined it in the 'File Naming Template'. however if the next capture of the same Firefox window is invoked via 'Grab Repeat Last Size+Pos', then the file will be named "Screenshot Captor-01_08_2010_001.png" (see pic) which is technically correct but it disrupts my work-flow.

what i suggest is that if a screen-capture is within a range of x seconds or minutes of the previous capture, then filename should continued as a sequence, disregarding 'File Naming Template'. in this case, the 2nd capture will be "Firefox.exe-01_08_2010_002.png".
