Aaah, yes!

Your fabolus tool have this fantastic feature
> cropping from within screenshot captor

what i miss from many other capture tools.

Iam not thinking about this behaviour during i try/suggest !

Pls let me try some more if we need to improve this feature
but for the first time it's a little bit "surprising" that we didn't could resize the region.

i can add an auto print checkbox, that seems reasonable.

as for auto save options - i think these already exist - you can tell screenshot captor to automatically always ask you, or never ask you.
let me know if you mean something different.

I only see [General Settings] Save /overwrite

I mean [On Capture Genaral]

an option to auto save the capture to disk or not (for to just print only, .. or to "save as..." on me own)


Or miss i smtg ?

For the filename format templates

i wanna suggest more %placeholder% like:

- %title descrition% of the captured window e.g. "Start new topic - Microsoft Internet Explorer 003.gif"

or "Desktop 002.gif"
or "Workplace 004.png"
if there are no windows title avaible.

This way i get the name of the app in the filename at easy.


Another ideais to store the capture mode in the file name like
- %CapMode% to get
"NewApp Fixed size 160x120.tif"

Or to store the resolution i set the captured image
- ( %Res% ) to get
"ScreenShot- ( 80x60 ).png"
"ScreenShot- ( 320x240 ).png"
to see what is my thumpnail and what is the full picture


Just a few ideas, not necessary any way  (without thoose about windows title, thought )

For "On Capture" tab and Tray menu

i wanna suggest this two new check boxes:

[X] Auto save        (for to disable the auto save feature one won't want)
[ ] Auto print        (for to automaticly access the standard printer dialog box for every capture)

and maybe
[ ] ASK                  (for to see an dialog box "[Save as...] [Print...] [Cancel]")


Sometimes someone wanna not modify and store the screenshots
but print them out immediately (e.g. to give away or store for documentation issues).

i think i have figured out a reasonable way to support editable arrows, textboxes, callouts, etc., in screenshot captor.
look for it in next version.

If i capture an selected region
this region is captured immediately if i release the LMB.

In other capture tools i could first modify the region (resize or move)
and it's only captured if i press the RMB or ENTER (or what else)

I found this second way more nifty and wanna discuse this behaviour.

I don't use capture tools every day
so i forgot always the short cuts (like seen in the flash  )

How about an Cature Menu to just choose the capture mode one wants to use ?
(yes i know tray menu, but there are not all modes)

Thanks for such an famos screenshot app 

May i suggest this:

Make the "Filename prefix" in the main window 'stand alone' from the template

- In template i have " Screenshot - %date% "
- in the "Filename prefix" i wrote NewApplication_

so i get an file name like "NewApplication_  Screenshot - DATE.gif"
instead of "NewApplication_ 002.gif"

So i suggest an new format sign %T% to use the template format
with  Filename prefix too, if one want this.
So "NewApplication_ " gives me "NewApplication_ 002.gif" only, what is nifty to quickly change the prefix,
and
"NewApplication_ %T%" will gives me "NewApplication_  Screenshot - DATE 002.gif"

But i don't like to have to add the template for standard
or that i must go to the settings and modify the template.

Just modifying the Filename prefix would be much more nifty.

How do you see that point ?
