As you age, you get more forgetful, and might not remember a password you set 5 years ago
Or five minutes  ;D

You have my assurances. It is a LIFETIME (not version) license.

Bought one in the spirit of solidarity.

Windows grumbles if one changes the start menu location e.g from Notefrog to Notes\Notefrog (but that's trivial).

Runs fine on my W7-64 Pro

General Software Discussion / Re: Is WinZip still worth updating?
« Last post by cranioscopical on February 07, 2012, 11:18 AM »
When WinZip moved from 9.0 to 10.0 they asked everyone to pay again. I didn't and continue to use my old 9.0 version
Same here.

Thanks for the demo movies!
Tedious to do, I know, but most helpful for the halt and the lame — and I am at a limp standstill.

Congratulations, that looks very slick!
I hope it goes well for you, you appear to have found a need that you can satisfy.
Nice, clear web site, too.

Sorry to have disappointed — I'll send you one today  ;)

the only thing you mention that you can't do it tell it not to begin until a certain time of day..
@jjerry There is all kinds of free stuff to launch an application at a given time. The built-in Windows Tasks (or Scheduler) is a good, safe, easy one.

Is there a Post Practice Area on DC where I can work on my posting ability but not actually post it?  Like a SANDBOX that nobody else was access to?   :-[
You might also want to look at this editor that understands bulletin board code. With it, you can compose your messages while offline and polish them to your heart's content before posting them (just copy from the editor and paste into a new message or a reply. It was written by DonationCoder member fenixproductions. BBC Editor provides you with a text entry pane on one side and an output pane on the other, so you see a real-time preview of what you type and how it will look on, say, DonationCoder.

You know Bada is also a Telephone OS owned by Samsung? And that is already making inroads around the world, so I'd pick another short-name if I where you ;)
Or simply append 'ss'  :o

FWIW, I'm pleased with it.
It mops up quite a few dirty footprints that various uninstallers leave behind.
I, too, used to like Cleansweep but its job was trivial compared to what's needed nowadays.
Some inept uninstallers that I've tried should have borrowed a slightly modified version of its name, viz. Cleans Weep

Mouser,
Nice one!
That looks pretty damned good to me

My first reaction to setting overlaps, scrolls, margins etc. remains one of mild shock. A few trips round the block will cure me of that but I'm with Ath — a first-time user will need all the help that you can provide (as will I).

Mouser-ish eyes only
First, if you're not mouser, why the heck are you reading this?  ;D

No doubt you'll soon be addressing more clipboard formats  ;)

Yes, I shall sing it to the tune of "Air on a G-String"
A spelling impediment also...you can't spell hair!

My mug and DC thong arrived today - I'll take a photo the next time we get some daylight here!
It's such a pity about your speech impediment! Are you going to thing the DC thong?

So... I waited another year ... When they decided to repeat the same friggin stunt, again...and raised the drinking age to 21. Needless to say, I was pissed.
So, you really hadn't waited at all  ;D

I've had a hard time keeping track of my age since I was 19.
Don't worry, it'll all come back to you when you turn 20...

Have you tried turning off the W7 taskbar clock display?

1. Run intl.cpl - it'll open Regional and Language Options window.
2. Now "Addition Settings" then the "Time" tab
3. Hide Time in system tray: put a blank space in "Long time" text box under "Time" tab.

I've no idea whether this will help with your issue but it might be worth a go.

Library size: (Apologies for omitting the library size) the one that "froze" Calibre is 1,174 files, 2.8Gb in total size. I do not know what proportion of those files Calibre would be able to translate/manage.
...
Interestingly, that thread also mentions CPU utilisation in a comment by J-Mac
Thanks for the info. Calibre is looking after 1.3Gb for me and I've seen no problem at all. It's almost amazingly fast on all of my machines. Either I've simply been lucky or the threshold for trouble is >1.3Gb.

I find Calibre to be excellent. Thanks for the review IainB!

(How large was the large library?)
