)Haven't read this thread, so apologies if this is stale news: the UK magazine Amateur Photographer has lately been recommending Picture Window Pro as a low-cost $89.99 package "that in some respects rivals Photoshop CS3 for functionality," albeit "you may struggle with the interface at first."looks interesting all right,-rjbull (September 19, 2007, 08:54 AM)

(well apart from the guy who thought the zoom tool was the pan tool cause the icon looked like a fryingpan)

Priceless! And, for the record, that wasn't me (though it does reflect my typical level of comprehension).-cranioscopical (September 19, 2007, 10:31 AM)

The icon looks like a little frying pan. > It inserts rude comments into your image. ![]() That's a zoom tool, the icon looks like a pan, so is that why you called it a pan tool? |

)Well, going against myself, i think that tall signatures with big images might become anoying. (i do love mine, though) But people around here tend to be polite, and i probably have the biggest sign in the forum.

I believe doPDF does what Fineprint does, and it's freeware to boot.i've tried out doPDF but it has some problems which i have mentioned here, so i would like to know if anyone else has these problems..-Nighted (March 04, 2007, 04:06 PM)-lanux128 (April 12, 2007, 09:12 PM)

yup,I searched for "meskalin software" and the first link I found was this: http://www.xbeat.net/meskalin/Yep, that's it. Sorry about stirring up this excitement about Meskalin. I was not aware that posts here are read that carefully.-ad-min (September 10, 2007, 08:46 AM)
Meskalin is nothing but a little screen loupe I wrote for myself but never published. I use it all the time to check color values and other graphic details. It also has some interesting recursive functions that generate near-chaotic psychedelic effects -- hence the name. If there's interest I can post a download link (freeware, but no support, no help file!...).-DonL (September 10, 2007, 09:54 AM)

I thought I had posted this to the forum, but it looks like it may have just been on IRC. I created a Frappr map for DonationCoder.com. Please add yourself to the map.-tinjaw (September 06, 2007, 08:56 AM)

This may be a daft question (well, no - there is no such thing as a stupid question, right? Repeat ten times), but is the Donate to Author section soliciting donatins for the REVIEW author or the DEVELOPER (if a DC member)? I'm 99% sure this is meant for the reveiwer, but just want to clarify...
