I'm guessing cut-n-paste error, but you appear to be missing an 'l' in the html in the link:

Just wanted to note this:

http://secunia.com/advisories/18989/

Description:
Nemesis Security Audit Group has discovered a vulnerability in The Bat!, which potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system.

The vulnerability is caused due to a boundary error within the parsing of the email subject header. This can be exploited to cause a unicode stack-based buffer overflow via a specially-crafted email message with an overly long subject.

The vulnerability has been confirmed in version 3.60.07. Other versions may also be affected.

Solution:
Update to version 3.71.03.

dina just seems too vertically streched
-jgpaiva

Just wanted to note that the version in the original screenshot is dina 9pt, which is 1 pixel higher than the original 8pt version from my screenshot. I prefer the slightly lower 8pt version, but I added the 9pt and 10pt versions for people with high resolutions where the 8pt version became too cramped .

Very nice comparison -- nothing beats viewing them side by side like that .

I think there might be a problem with fixedsys and the Proggy fonts though. It looks like they have been scaled on the screenshot?

A quick google turned up this:

http://en.wikipedia....lberry_(email_client)

Mulberry was a commercial email client marketed by Cyrusoft from approximately 1995 to 2005. As of October 1, 2005, Cyrusoft International, Inc./ISAMET, has declared Chapter 7 bankruptcy and gone out of business.

General Software Discussion / Re: Best Executable Compressor Programs
« Last post by Jibz on January 08, 2006, 10:33 AM »
If you had asked me some years back, I would have said whichever one makes the smallest executable. Today I tend to prefer compatibility and stability.

I'd rather have a 5k larger executable that doesn't crash on some machines, or trigger false virus alerts .

Seems hexblog.com has been suspended - probably too much trafic.

Any (trustworthy) alternative download sites?

I think WinRAR is 'open enough'. The source code for decompression is available, and if you think about it, that's the really important thing. Even if the company should go under, you should always be able to compile the decompression source and retrieve your data.

The new ImproveNet will enable Agnitum developers to collect and review users’
application Internet access configurations and program usage statistics

So they are going for both spyware and anti-spyware integration?

Try pressing the 'PROFILE' button in the top row of buttons (home, search, _profile_, ...).

On your profile page, at the bottom of the left side box, there should be a field called 'Charter Member Activation' with a button saying 'Activate Membership' in red. Enter your activation code there, and hit the button.

Hope that helps .

It's announced on the forum here: http://www.pyxia.com...iewtopic.php?t=10488

Which ironically also has the non-discounted price at the top. However, if you press that link, you arrive at a RegNow page which finally shows the discounted price .

Well, if you bothered to read his message, you would see that he said the product costs $70 while the rebate was $50, which means it costs $20 and is not free as the topic line 'Free copy of snapstream beyondtv 3 after 50$ MIR' might suggest to some.

Oh ok .. I am sorry I didn't check :-[.

It looks a bit like it's the exact same e-mail client, but with some nice add-ons (calendar and planner). Is that correct?

Most of the programs are going to have new version released over time, so I guess the question is if mouser wants to keep the reviews up to date all the time, or if he prefers to make a new major review say a year after the first, where he takes a look at all the new versions.

I was quite intrigued by the Fog Creek Copilot service he advertises at the bottom of that page.

Imagine taking open-source remote control software like VNC and letting it pass through your servers to be able to charge money by the minute .. amazing creativity.

Got to love mouser's integrity .

I almost choked on my coffee when I saw point F .. trying to get 'product placement' in scientific papers that way is bad imho.
