Note I went to the linked github page and dont see anything accessible (well, not to me at any rate).

C H+S is not unicode, as far as I know it needs a big change to be so.

Windows clipboard is unicode, so the last clip you copied will (normally) be correct -- whether pasted via CHS or not, but as soon as you copy another clip it will no longer display many non-English letters accents etc. correctly.

Maybe... picking up where a few of the long-trusted and used Firefox legacy extensions left off would be an easier challenge?
Autohide bookmark toolbar, scroll through open tabs with middle 'mouser'  , FTDark theme to name a few appreciated features of old that'll never come back?.

on impulse, I searched for somewhere I could simply play chess against myself -

They offered a 'cpu' option -- me against my own cpu maybe?
I lost the first badly, and they didnt even play particularly well.
The second game I won in 11 moves, which of course confirms that I'm a natural genius and should really have started playing chess at a younger age. It was interesting for me to notice myself getting defensive in the game, then thinking, they have a weakness: go for that weakness.

Proceeded to lose the next few games -- replayed one up to where I screwed up, allowed the cpu to take over and did reasonably well after. But it's clear the engine I'm playing against is really bad. It is a nice way for me to start -- I mean it's encouraging, but leads to a few questions:

1) any better site I can play where I can choose the level I am playing against?

2) is there any site or programme I can feed the moves into and it will allow me to replay the game by simply pressing a play button?

It seems the major design choice when considering one of these things is the switch, and there's like a gazillion of them.  Some are loud, some aren't, some offer more resistance, some less, some are 'clicky', some aren't

tactile switches have a slight or pronounced bump on the stem, letting you feel it as you type.  linear switches are smooth from top to bottom.  clicky switches click as you type- like the old IBM keyboards.  The actuation force is the amount of pressure on the keys needed to actuate (activate) it.  There's a lot of keyboard science to them, and a lot is based on personal preference.

I like to use Brown (tactile) switches.  They are tactile with an actuation force of 45cN.

curious about recommendations for a mechanical keyboard nooby.

I'm interested in getting a tenkeyless board (nothing as extreme as 40%!) but all these switches and options mean nothing to me, and spending $140+ a time to test a keyboard isn't in my budget

The browns are more for some reason... the blacks and blues are a lot less.  On this particular keyboard, you're giving up the function row (which can be accessed using the function key) and the numeric keypad.  It's a good tradeoff.

red is read as a warning, or often used to emphasize something of great importance. The combination of all red and some caps comes across a bit like someone shouting their head off -- it's clear from your response that that's not what you intended, but it will discourage helpful responses.

Also it's helpful to make a post once, and then wait for a response. I'm not sure how many times you made that post - but I can tell you, the more times you post it (in the one forum), the less likely it is that you will get a helpful response.
