I seem to get error messages no matter what I do-tomos (January 17, 2021, 06:16 PM)
I have still not been able to reproduce the crash so cannot yet explain what the root cause is. Here is a test .ahk version (requires AutoHotkey installed) with an attempted workaround. Can you test it and tell me if the error still happens?

can you verify that there is only the one entry still in the speedtest-cli.ini file?-skwire (January 06, 2022, 10:29 AM)
thanks -- I used that version of NET on a second machine and it works fineIt's not recognising the .NET install-tomos (January 05, 2022, 07:22 AM)
It's possible that you need to install the Desktop Runtime specific version of .NET 5.
I updated the original post to clarify this.-GrumpyCoder (January 06, 2022, 01:07 AM)
So, I had the same problem on two win 10 machinesversion 1.0.2 build 1-tomos (January 05, 2022, 01:46 PM)
Are you running from a UAC protected folder? If so, does running as Admin help?-skwire (January 05, 2022, 03:14 PM)
I'm just getting zeros across the board -- using the option "to quickly add a group of Speedtest.net servers closest to you". The servers look good - ten showed and were automatically selected.-tomos (January 05, 2022, 07:37 AM)
Which version are you using?-skwire (January 05, 2022, 11:53 AM)

Do you have it running and installed on a windows 10 machine? What are you using now?I'm no longer doing the work I used it for. No longer even work (professionally) at/with a computer. I do have one project though that I intend to finish next year, for which I could use it, or something like it, so might try install it at some stage again.-sphere (October 06, 2021, 12:18 PM)
seems like File Hamster has been updated recently. There is an overview of the new features here on youtube from 3 years ago. Those videos are all of features that already existed years ago. I wrote elsewhere on dc that some minor bugs were fixed in 2019. Unfortunately without a link. I think they mainly made sure it ran on Windows 10 so as they could keep selling it. I couldn't find the forum.

Filehamster could be an option. It appears to be in development (again). Also requires active input, but iiuc is a lot simpler than full versioning system.Forget that:-tomos (September 07, 2020, 04:30 AM)
after years of no updates, they fixed a couple of minor bugs end of last year, but no support in 2020, so I would avoid.-tomos (September 07, 2020, 05:12 PM)
