Well I was hoping for a simpler setup. IE Last time you had something to eat. To force the idea of waiting till that many hours have past. This is more of a strict eating schedule.

It is working great in most things I use. I noticed it works well on web chat boxes in a browser.

Is it possible to think about BBCode? Or better an personal INI file to allow people to customize the things they would like?

Would it be possible to have a second version that does not include the Microsoft listed files?

Or maybe allow us to create a white list of files to ignore in writing out the log entry. This way if we are trying to track down a specific file we can eliminate ones we already know about.

Looks like it might be a bust at this point unless you wanted to add an option for people to be able to put in an API key for the site. As I will never be a donor this is a dead project for me now.

Only other suggestion would be Trakt.com and their use of an API.

Looks great. Thanks for the font size change.

Great as is and more than happy to live with this. Only thing that I can see to improve is the series option.

By the way if you do a series option then most of the time I would do a search by entering something like this "Supernatural S10e21".

This is exactly what I was thinking.

Is it possible to have access to all the information that the OMDB API uses? Each person could mock up their own way for presenting the information. I know I tend to add the poster along with maybe the rating so access it all would be nice.

How hard is it to add right click function? The idea all the call terms could be on a context menu.

Since you threw in the series is it possible to add the episode function?

I deal with a lot of classic movies on a website I help moderate. I currently use a GreaseMonkey script to generate a basic BBCode NFO. [https://gist.github.com/cletusc/8d26902f46fe6b3ed850] This no longer works as intended since IMDB changed the layout of the pages. It still works well enough but I have been for a long time looking for something stand alone.

So the idea is to use OMDB.com API to gather the information and the parse the information into a given template. Be nice if each had a spot to make a template as you wanted. Here is an example of the OMDB api data return.

First is a bit of a bug: sometimes when updating shows (refresh data option), refreshing the view on the weekly tab or adding a new show from search, a random amount of ticks disappear from the list of shows marked as watched. It is usually most of them which is not good as it's thousands of checkboxes. Sometimes it will leave one or two checked per show but it is completely random. It's extremely frustrating.

OK, so I am not going senile yet. This has happened to me as well. Using epcheck on a USB drive that I fill up for my nephew to view shows on. Was using epcheck to know where I last downloaded and when I get the drive, about once a month, I would launch and refresh data to see what I still needed to get. Whole seasons would be unchecked. I was thinking it was me or the nephew but he always stated he never opened it since it was in my personal folder.

Nice to hear that you might implement that search function I asked for a ways back.

Another request I was wondering about. Maybe Making the entire line/background of en episode another color for the last listed episode for us who are not keeping track of how long the season is. Not to mention so series have 13 then change to 18, then back to 13. Either way it would be nice to be able to see at a glance when a season finale is here.

I hate to say this but first step to being a smart adult is to know if the field your going into will pay you when you graduate. It would seem that colleges would start to limit the numbers if a field gets to large to hold the graduates but we all know that colleges are based on money. I say this not to be harsh but unless your the cream of the crop as a lawyer odds are your not going to do well. Same goes with being a dentist and then get a practice in a town of 2500 people. 17th century French poetry.

I wanted to go into IT and specialize in the security field. Sadly I realize I could not do this and have a life (at the time I was 40) since my age would be held against me. So nursing it was. Worst case there is always some position open some where even if they pay is not great, one can always move on when there is a better paying job.

I don't know mousers story but he is doing the best thing. Keeping busy and making a name for himself, till something comes up.

Notice that your a few hours away from me. Have you thought about working for a non profit? You can get paid and at same time get loan forgiveness. Same with a govt job.

I know I am going off topic for what the thread turned into but going back to the OP.

This is doable. Has less to do with middle men and doing things anonymously. This is more along the lines of you wanting to prove who you are on the net. Say your a respected scientist posting or a writer. With this system you can prove who you are so that when you post people know for a fact that it is you and not some poser.

This has been long talked about in security forums and security podcast. On a personal level this is where the idea of SQRL (https://www.grc.com/sqrl/sqrl.htm) comes from at GRC.

Eventually something along this lines will come up since so often in the past we all have seen how people can get spoofed on many types of forums.

RFID has been proven as a bad idea. Problem is Govt hate change on something they implemented. Some security people have given worst case scenarios about how a terrorist could place a bomb in a trash can at a historical site. The device sends out RFID signal and when it gets five RFID's based out of a given country (USA) it blows. The govt knows this and now people are placing passports with RFID in them in blackout bags.

RFID's will die off but only once something else comes to replace it or the govt will do nothing.

Doable. Sounds like what they are showing on the webpage is more like using a shortwave system. As long as the power is below a certain wattage you can freely use it.

Now of course I know nothing about the type of regulation on this but if it works along the same lines as a wireless home phone seems like there is little the FCC could do.

Can't remember if it was covered but an issue that came up us that I tried adjusting a column and the program had a CPU surge and would not come out of it. I let it run for thirty-six minutes before forcing it closed to start again.



Trying to track down a reason why the program sometimes "whites" out all information. All text is just gone even though nothing has changed. I just delete the config file and all is right again.

How about placing in the program that the "Weekly" tab only shows the currently chosen profile.

The idea being that I have my:

1)  Main current shows that I watch when aired.
2)  Secondary current shows that I want to watch when I can
3)  Tertiary current shows are ones I want to watch when nothing else is on.

So ,for me at least, I would only really want to see shows that I know I plan on watching, and if this is an option on the option tab then people can choose if all current shows are shown or just the current profile.

Disable and release with new fix's. The changing profiles of TV shows is not a huge issue at the moment. In reality it would not be that hard to do a delete of a show and then add new to the new profile.

Worst case just have a drop down box when doing searching for new shows and when a new show is added it will go to the profile. Transferring of new shows would be nice but we all can live without it if it keeps the code simpler.

Functions are great but simpler code keeps a program running longer with less issues.

Nice on the upcoming release.

Two things.

Is it possible to set the default to load the newest shows at the top instead of bottom. With the option you have now to scroll to the bottom it is nice but, it would be nice for me if it just defaulted to the top with the older shows on the bottom. A per person choice.

With the new one and having profiles are we going to be bale to switch the shows from one list to another? IE once I finished watching a series and it is cancelled will I be able to movie it from the watch list to the cancelled list?

The only real challenge is having an app to grab book data and artwork from Amazon (or other sources) via an API. Once that data is pulled over and put in a tab-delimited file, it can be easily imported into almost anything.

If it's just a locally hosted Windows-native tracking database that's wanted, there's easily a half dozen DBMS apps (i.e. Access, et al) that will let you set one up very easily.

Essentially yes. But it would be nice if the front end was more than just a data retriever. It would be nice if possible that one could easily flip between title/authors name/series name/maybe even year.

I am doing an all-niter on a lab nurse exam and a lecture tomorrow so will try to give a dummy upped version of an interface later this week.
