Circle Dock / Re: Disappearing shortcuts
« on: November 29, 2010, 02:42 AM »
Sorry, i dont have that version installed :( but try right clicking on the dock, then there should be 'add special file or folder' something like that. it's from within there that you can browse to whichever exe you would like to add.
I can install alpha 8 on a different computer and look for you if i've got it wrong.

you can add the exe from the context menu, which version of circledock are you running

If the is no setting in the options to automatically start when widows starts then the easist way is to drag the shortcut from the desktop into the start/all programs/startup folder. Then when u restart your machine circledock will open too. :)

Circle Dock / Re: Centre toggle
« on: March 12, 2010, 02:31 AM »
I am considering allowing users to customise the action taken when the Centre Button is left-clicked. The options likely to be included will be "No action", "Show Start Menu", "Show Desktop" and "Run Task Manager".

Hello, sorry i didn't make myself very clear. This is what I'm after but with the option to pick a simulated keystroke like when we choose the CD background key toggle. :)

Left clicking the centre would invoke keys eg ctrl+shift+etc

Circle Dock / Centre toggle

Could you add a custom keystroke combo for the centre button so it's the same system as the mouse/keyboard hotkey setup. Then instead of calling up the start menu we could have other apps eg deskspace.
Thanks,
Darran.

Is it possible to add a setting to bypass keyboard/mouse when the pointer is over the taskbar?
Cheers again.

:) Sorted. Cheers.

Hello, i have a problem when hiding circledock after opening a file created from rightclick add file/folder etc.
When creating an item by dragging a shortcut or rightclick add folder, everything works as it should.
I have the hide circledock after opening file/folder checked. Using the latest version of circledock. No mouse toggle.

Circle Dock / Re: Circle Dock Multiple instances startup...
« on: February 08, 2010, 04:58 AM »
Hello,

Suggestion.
It's not multi instances but still a sort of multidock :)
The idea is to be able to set up several docks. Have ur keyboard shortcut cycle thru the docks over a given amount of time as the keys are held down.
eg 4 dock set up.
press shortcut, the 1st dock appears (or "1" etc), then after a pause the 2nd one replaces it etc. If i wanted the 3rd i would just release keys before it changes to the 4th. Being able to enable/disable each dock would be good :)

xmousebuttoncontrol :)
http://www.highrez.c...useButtonControl.htm

I set circledock to toggle only on a keyboard shortcut. then i use xmousebuttoncontrol to set the default middlebutton to my circledock shortcut. Next is set all apps that use the middlebutton back to the default in xmousebuttoncontrol

hello :)

Suggestion.
A whitelist for apps to bypass circledocks toggle from a mousebutton :) this would allow them to retain their native middlebutton functionality

Thanks!

Umm, you don't need "xmousebuttoncontrol" any more to toggle Circle Dock's visibility - both X1 and X2 mouse buttons are fully supported in v1 :).

Mark

:) no individual application setting tho. I use the middle mouse via a keyboard command and give the middlemouse button functions back to apps like firefox, kmplayer, gfx stuff etc.

I am glad to hear that you are working with both Circle Dock and Rainmeter...It is a thrill and an honor  ;D

:) Cheers, in my eyes they are indispensable along with Winroll.

Inabit, and thanks again guys

nice one guys. Glad it's been resurrected :) It's by far the best method of opening shortcuts ever invented.
It's always the 1st software i install on my machines (with xmousebuttoncontrol) and i really wouldn't want to be in front of my pc 24/7 without it.
The funny thing is, rainmeter is right up there with circledock so i'm seeing Sgtevmckay's name everywhere i look :)

Thanks again for all your work. I'm not surprised how much support it has gained, you should all be really proud :)

Circle Dock / Re: Middle Button

Did you set the toggle hotkey to F1 in CD and set middle button to simulate {F1} in xmousebut... and then also added firefox.exe to the exclusion list.
Should work ok :)

hi, not sure whats gone wrong but i recommend using xmousebuttoncontrol, to add the extra functionality of per app config. eg exclude firefox to retain it's middle click features or sketchup to orbit wih middle click etc.
Pretty essential partner for CD if you ask me. :)
GL with fixing your issue, have you tried downloading it again.

xmousbuttoncontrol uses the hotkey to initiate CD from the middleclick which should fix your problem.

windows 7 :) don't know if xmousebuttoncontrol will work with windows7

sTab looks fine but im a resource freak. i have everything unnecessary stopped or removed. including themes. no explorer etc. having tabs would be a great, but i already run xmousebuttoncontrol and autohotkey to help CD. adding another app would kill me :)
Having said that, i would forego tabs in favour of fixing the redrawing/hiding issues :)

Well done on beating objectdock, a fine achievement :)
as for the tabbed drawer on objectdock, yeah it's a good feature :) maybe we could have a tab pie in the middle or a tabring on the outside.

Congrats again,
Daz

hi, xp sp3, 2.5gb mem, ati x1300. it's an old acer 5620 laptop, so could well be my hardware :)
it's cooliris that breaks, so removing it wont fix cooliris hehe. i run the x-mouse button thing so i disable middlemouse for firefox, sketchup, xnview, etc.
closing cirlcle dock b4 running cooliris fixed it. hiding it doesn't, if that helps.
Cooliris is only fullscreen, i don't like that :(
The redrawing issues i have are java webpages such as the streaming monitor on www.advfn.com (unfortunately u need to register to go there) and software is sketchup
Not really much of a problem. i'd rather run circle dock with problems than not have it at all :)
Thanks for getting back to me, i use java update 11 for firefox (same problem with 10).
i did send an email to cooliris chaps and they said it's probably a fight for the topmost graphics layer.
All in all it's no biggie, i don't use cooliris all that often and i can just bring up circle dock and hide it in a corner of the screen where it wont conflict with other things.
cheers,
dazzaa.

it would be a help if i could disable circle dock from the system tray icon without closing the prog.

Circle Dock / Cool iris problem
« on: December 03, 2008, 07:38 AM »
hi, lovely piece of software :)
but it plays havok with java stuff. causing redrawing issues.
as stated before it leaves ghosting when it is hidden.
and having installed the cooliris addonin firefox, circle dock reduces the plugin to a stuttering mess lol
not enough to make me stop running circle dock tho. looking forward to the next update. Will save my ideas/suggestions till then.
Thanks for your app, it's great :)
