Thanks. I've tried that, but it seems I've added a conflicting alias, which prevented it from working. Now I've removed the conflict and it works.

Just a little clarification for the help file. It says:

Now you can type in your search:
+hexedit mydocsearch...

but probably should be:

Now you can type in your search:
mydocsearch +hexedit

Because if you type the alias in the beginning, it does not work (at least for me).

P.S.: I've just started using FARR and so far it is quite good!

I am note sure if this is possible yet, but I would like to use the explicit directory search when typing alias or other application parameter. So for example, when I start typing c:\ after notepad, FARR should show the directory browse window below and help me find the file faster:

notepad c:\test\doc.txt

For Mac I use MindBurn and now I see that there is something similar for Windows too. BetterMemo (http://www.bettermemo.com) seems to be a blend between SuperMemo and MindBurn. It does not have all the bells & whistles of SM, but I find the interface very easy to use. Mnemosyne is fair choice too, but I find it's deck organizing capabilities inferior to those of BetterMemo.

Finding a great email client is my everlasting non fulfilled dream Back in the days, OE was my first choice, because of its newsgroup support. However, it was short on features, so I switched to Outlook 2003. Outlook is nicely integrated with other utilities (todo, calendar, ...), but it really fails when you have to backup your data. It took me ages to learn how to backup my account details and I really hate the process. Of course, Outlook has no newsgroups support, so I had to use Outlook and OE together, which was not convenient.
Finally, after reviewing a long list of alternatives, I gave Thunderbird a try. It has it's own quirks (slow with large newsgroups, bugs in filters), but at this time it does the job. However, I am still looking for a better alternative, but I am no longer enthusiastic as before

Personally, I prefer WinRAR and even if there is RAR support in WinZip, I'll still use WinRAR. IMO, the only advantage of WinZip is the more elegant UI, but WinRAR is fine too.
