Drop down categories are no longer at top but on the side..why?

What used to be on top of the window: File, Edit, Capture, Scan, Go To, Move To..etc..etc is now sideways on the right side of the view instead of on top.

Having to look at it sideways is hopefully not my new reality.

Is this a setting that I need to check to move it back to the top of my screen where it belongsDrop down categories are no longer at top but on the side..why?Drop down categories are no longer at top but on the side..why? or is it an issue on my computer?

You can just grab the toolbar with the mouse pointer, and drag it to where you want it. That's probably also how it got there where it is now...

ahh..so I had tried that but was grabbing incorrectly and actually opening up the menus..so I stopped.

Refocused my attention with the mantra "I can do this" and all good now..
