Ooh, CarotDAV portable ROCKS!

Just discovered this app, CarotDAV. Single interface from which I can access my ftp accounts, Box.com, Google drive, etc., etc. Nice!

Nice and just a note from the CarotDAV website so everyone knows...

By default, passwords are saved with no encryption. -> In the setting file, there are login IDs and raw passwords. By default, it is not encrypted. If you want to avoid risk, use master password.

Includes automatic file-splitting (e.g. OneDrive's 25 meg file size limit) and doesn't store passwords in plain text. For additional security, a master password can be set.

The portable freeware site says that but I was talking on the main homepage for the program itself.

I'm using it to update contents of Dropbox and Box.com, as well as to access two FTP accounts. Works well.

i don't understand what it does.  am i understanding this right?...
it allows you to create a drive on your local pc where you can access things like dropbox, box, like normal folders?

that's cool.  dropbox and google drive already have desktop apps, but they don't offer direct access to the dropbox files...more like a local folder that syncs with dropbox.  this carotdav sounds like you can directly access the files.

if  that's the case, i don't think it can be it's own standalone carddav or caldav serve, which is what i want.

Yeah, I don't think it can be used as a server. But yes, it does permit you to access Box, GDrive, Dropbox, etc., as if they were local folders and files.

Here's a screenshot. It's uploading a 7+ GB directory with no hiccups...

Note: I'm connected at 100Mbps. Program seems to average upload speed of about 4 Mb/minute for me; but it's steady and has been running for several hours without a problem. It doesn't seem to slow/affect my other internet activities.

CarotDAV is growing on me. One single interface, and in a few clicks I've uploaded my important directories from work and home projects to: OneDrive, GoogleDrive, Box.com, Dropbox, etc.
