mail.com free webmail with no mobile phone required

I was searching for another free webmail that didn't demand a mobile phone number for registration.  I found a hit in a forum where someone asked the question in 2013 and the answer is still good.

I signed up.  So far so good.  The free account does not have many features.  Although it does stipulate unlimited storage.  They also have a Firefox AddOn so you can check for new email by pushing a button on the toolbar.

I just thought I'd pass it on.

ProtonMail, mentioned here by nogojoe, doesn't require a phone number either, just a username/password to create an account.
