Very nice.  I like the simplicity of the program.

I'm not able to add due dates to any tasks...when I do, the program crashes.  Doesn't seem to matter if this is done on task creation, or when updating existing tasks.  Also happens whether or not the task is a project, milestone, and with/without checkboxes.

Testing on win 7 ent 64-bit.

Excellent!  Working as expected on win7 home 64-bit.  Unpacking the archive just gives a single sqlite db (with the 'Welcome' task) this time.

Thanks!

If you are open to suggestions, here are a couple of features that I would find helpful:

  • Ability to import/export from/to CSV
  • Ability to copy items (with children) from one location to another

The second wishlist item would make it easy to setup template(s) for tracking repetitive workflows.

Thanks, but I can't accept suggestions at this time since I also have a long list of things I want to implement. Since the data is stored in a sqlite database, you can manipulate the items outside of the application easily.

Task Manager may not be the best name -- most people assume a task manager manages running processes on the computer, and there are a ton of such apps..

I know. It's a pun. Nonetheless, it represents my vision for the application.

I downloaded and tried this, but I'm unable to figure out how to add tasks.  I'd assume that right-clicking should bring up a menu or there would be options in the main menu bar.  Unfortunately, right-clicking doesn't bring up a menu.  For the record, I can edit the default 'Welcome' task by double-clicking it.  Am I completely oblivious to something?  Any thoughts?

This app is keyboard oriented. The shortcuts are detailed in the home page (https://github.com/char101/outliner).

It's open source. People can implement their own requirement. I only implement what I use.
