Nice attempt Stephen66515.  Your program does offer something that's hard to do -- open multiple URLs at once, across multiple tabs.

However, the present task is to just use ONE tab, and open URLs one at a time into the single tab, as needed, and moving on to the next URL in line (perhaps a hundred URLs in all) with a key press or mouse click.

While not a GUI, Skwire does this in his script.

Ah, seems I missed a vital point...this is easy to add and I will do so in the next version :)

Looks like a really useful thrust.  Extremely glad to have you, Skwire, and everyone else here available.  Thank you all.

nkormanik, if RegaLink is enough of a solution for you, please let us know so we can mark this as complete.

Thanks

@Stephen66515  The next step, if anyone is still interested, is to add button to open the NEXT URL in the list.

Opening all at once is good.  But what's truly needed out there is the ability to open one at a time.  Click button, open the NEXT.

Sadly, the **browser extension** "Flem" which did the above in Firefox was non-working in the new Firefox releases.  And now non-working in the replacement-for-Firefox Waterfox new releases.

Hey,

I'm really sorry but this project was done like 7 years ago on an old computer and I never saved the code so I have absolutely no way to add anything to it.

If you need anything added to it then you will need to post in Coding Snacks or somewhere to ask someone to make you a new bit of software (I haven't coded in about 2 years now except for tiny utilities for myself).

Sorry again,

-Stephen

@Stephen66515  Thanks for getting back.  Well, hope someone picks up on this.

If anyone knows of another way to open URLs one at a time, from a long list, please chime in here.

Thanks all!

Go for the gold!!

Yes, main idea is to release a great product!

As I get into it, would you like to add:

- Clipboard monitor (for adding URLs to the list).
- Global hotkeys (for moving to next URL using the keyboard).

Cheers!
Vic

Vic, the menu shows an option to use hotkeys.

Please explain how to do that; what hotkeys?

Hi Nick! When you click/check the "Enable hotkeys" menu, it registers the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • SHIFT + A (Prev)
  • SHIFT + S (Next)
  • SHIFT + D (Play)
  • SHIFT + Q (First)
  • SHIFT + W (Last)

Feel free to try it if you want to trigger functionality by keyboard; some folks find it useful

Cheers!
🤗,
Vic

Vic!, for Urlister what are the hotkeys mentioned in the menu?  Are they global?  In other words, if one is currently in the browser and hits the hotkey for next url will Urlister proceed onto the next webpage?

Thanks!
