Win7 desktop improvements

hello

I like very much the vertical bar at the right most of the taskbar, which when you click, shows the desktop

I want to place it in other positions in the taskbar and also I want a similar vertical bar to control speaker volume

are these achievable?

For the speaker volume, click the little up-triangle to show the rest of your tray icons, then click Customize.  Find the speaker icon and change it to say Show Icon And Notifications.
