[...]fear provoked by the attentions of a monstrous, allotment-menacing devil rabbit.

That's according to the Times, which reports that the "Beast of Felton" - a deer-sized, black and brown creature with "diabolically shaped ears" - has already decimated "a market stall's worth of Japanese onions, parsnips and spring carrots".

The first sighting of the Mephistophelean herbivore came back in February. Allotment holder Jeff Smith, 63, recounted: "This is no ordinary rabbit. We are dealing with a monster. It's absolutely massive.

I think what we have here is a classic case of the Wererabbit.

Yes you do - it is brilliantly funny. The actors obviously had so much fun doing the voices for it and the 'clay' animation of Nick Park and Co is up to its usual amazing standard.

Buy it on DVD - you have to watch it more than once to spot all the funny little bits of business going on around the screen!

are you sure it's not this guy:

Herman the giant rabbit

A man has been showing off his gigantic rabbit named Herman.
The mighty bunny weighs a massive 7.7kg, and his ears are a lengthy 21cm - almost as long as most pet rabbits are tall. And he is almost 1m tall.

The German Giant is even big for his breed, which usually tip the scales at around 6kg.

Herman lives in a specially built solid oak hutch and chomps his way through just over 2kg of food a day. His owner says his favourite snack is lettuce.

Do they really think a woolen rabbit will survive for 20 years in the open? Anyone taking bets on it?
