new Assistant to Windows Desktop Search
« on: December 21, 2011, 02:31 PM »
I am going to test this new baby, (version 1.0 is 5 weeks old), because it can send results directly to Explorer, but I have not yet tried it: "Search Assistant - Precision Search Tool for Windows Desktop Search", from http://www.grecosoftllc.com/

$20 after 30 days trial.

System Requirements; Microsoft Vista or Windows 7 or Higher. Microsoft .Net Framework 4.0 or Higher (you will be prompted to install it if it isn't present). Windows Desktop Search must be your default search provider.

Search Assistant is an easy to use program for creating Advanced Query Syntax (AQS) searches for Windows Desktop Search. It allows you to create complex where clauses based on a file's properties as well as searching for text. The results of your searches can be displayed in the Search Assistant's own results window or your search can be passed directly to Windows Explorer

Edited:
The "Support : On-Line Help" is an excellent place to get to understand the program:

Unfortunately I did not find any options to "Start with Windows, or not" or "Hotkey, to launch or to exit", so I uninstalled the program right away ;-(

I have asked to be notified when the program is updated.
