I have access to the above business card cutter from a friend that runs a print shop.

THEN CHOOSE THESE OPTIONS:
UNCHECK STACK PRINTING
CHECK DOWN THEN ACROSS

Workflow is as follows: Feed first sheet
take left hand stack and place on top of right hand stack
repeat for 2nd, 3rd, 4th sheets..etc.

Is this the most efficient way to utilize this business card cutter? I really can't afford to go out and buy a fancier cutter because it's just for a church event. I"ve seen cutters that commercial people use that seem faster but they have more print out put trays.

Ideally I'd like the software to arrange photos so that after feeding in multiple sheets I just take the left hand stack and move it on top of the right hand stack and staple it.

My work flow now requires that one page at a time be fed and then stacked.

Ideally I'd like the software to arrange photos so that after feeding in multiple sheets I just take the left hand stack and move it on top of the right hand stack and staple it.

Flipbook printer/suite was designed to handle these cases. The settings you want to play with are the checkboxes on the Print page labeled:
Stacked Printing and Down then Across

You certainly want to enable Stacked printing.
But also Down then Across may be what you need for that printer.

Let me know if it works.

ps.You should be able to avoid having to stack the piles after each sheet.

first page looks like this for STACKED& DOWN AND ACROSS:
1    11
3    13
5    15
7    17
9    19

2ND page looks like this:
2    12
4    14
6    16
8    18
10   20

RESULT IF YOU JUST FEED TWO SHEETS THROUGH AND STACK THE RESULTS:
1
3
5
7
9
2
4
6
8
10
11
13
15
17
19
12
14
16
18
20

Only way I can think that this would work is if you somehow taped the two sheets together and it was tough enough to punch/cut out two sheets at at time.

first page looks like this UNSTACKED DOWN AND ACROSS
1    6
2    7
3    8
4    9
5    10

2ND PAGE LIKE THIS  UNSTACKED DOWN AND ACROSS
11    16
12    17
13    18
14    19
15    20

IT DOESN'T WORK EITHER.

Maybe I'm missing something but different card cutters stack differently and I can't figgure out how to get the software to work with this one.

OK first things first, I will try to help you get this working for that card cutter -- if it requires coding a new way to lay out cards i will add that.

I just need to wrap my head around how you need the cards laid out.

It sounds like you need the layout to look like

1st page
1 11
2 12
3 13
4 14
5 15

2nd page
6 16
7 17
8 18
9 19
10 20

is that right?

and that's because, you want to feed multiple pages in and let the accumulate on the 2 stacks, is that right?

Yes that is right, just like the video link above shows: A piece of paper in put into the printer and it splits it in half and makes two stacks of business cards. It doesn't require double feed like the Martin yale does

This is different than the martin yale cutters that first split the paper in half and then you have to re-fed it to split it into 4 stacks that are then put together. Currently it seems your software would only work with the Martin Yale. see link http://www.youtube.c.../watch?v=CYAfCM0NtJk

HOWEVER JUST TO BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR HERE IS WHAT FOUR PAGES WOULD LOOK LIKE:
PAGE1
1   21
2   22
3   23
4   24
5   25
PAGE2
6   26
7   27
8   28
9   29
10   30
PAGE3
11   31
12   32
13   33
14   34
15   35
PAGE4
16   36
17   37
18   38
19   39
20   40

Software would take total number of images and divide it by 2
first half creates left hand columns of images
second half creates right hand columns of images.

My apologies.. I just got backed up with other work.. I've actually fixed a couple of small bugs in FlipSuite this past weekend and will get to the layout stuff this week.

I know this is long overdue, but just a heads up that i have finished adding a bunch of additional layout options that will work with printer/cutters like this and others that do page-by-page cutting/stacking.  I will be uploading the new version shortly.

Screenshot - 5_28_2012 , 12_51_54 AM.pngcan layout template be modified to work with this business card cutter?

Hopefully you can see from this screenshot (click on it to enlarge) that the page numbers are exactly as you diagrammed they should be.  And you'll notice that the new option that enabled this was "Strip Cutting Stacks: Horizontal"; there are more options as well that can be used with different kinds of cutters that might stack differently.
