shutdown and startup manger recommendations
« on: March 23, 2011, 04:54 PM »
I am looking for a very simple program and wondered what others had found useful.

I need something to shut off a pc at a pre-determined time, say 5 pm on weekdays only.

and then turn it back on at 7:30 am on week day s only.

nothing else, just that on a Windows pc, in this case, XP Pro.

I know that some BIOS can do this but not on this particular machine.

Thanks!

maybe a coding snack???

The best utility for this I have found so far is a freeware named TimeComX from Bitdreamers.com

Another alternative is the freeware MF Shutdown Manager.

T-Clock does not do this ... And quite frankly, I don't have a really good explaination for why that is. :(
