Is it just updates that quit after the alloted time, or the app itself stops functioning?

miles, i do think dvdfab will run forever with versions released within the timeframe, i believe their normal subscriptions works that way.

Unless they've done something special for GOTD, the app will continue to work after the subscription runs out, but no more updates.

However, the nature of this kind of application is that it becomes less useful without updates because DVD publishers continually change the techniques used to copy protect DVDs.

Thanks for the info. I was just curious as licensing terms seem to ambiguate like a virus these days.

(I know... "ambiguate" ain't in the dictionary.... yet but I have faith both it and "orientationize" will make it!)
