anyone up for Freedom Force 10-pack? it's going for $7.49 so a copy will cost only 75ยข for this superbly fun game. just check out the metacritic review! if interested please post here or PM Deozaan.

It's $0.75 a copy and it got a 90/100 on metacritic, wow!

I'll be collecting funds and handling game distribution, so as Lanux said, either post here or send me a PM if you want in.

If anybody still wants a copy of Freedom Force, I went ahead and got it. But as a penalty for missing the deadline (causing me to front the money for all the copies myself) I'm asking $1 USD if you want a copy. That's still a really great deal as the game regularly costs $5.

That indie air pack looks good- I have all ofnthem already other than plain sight.  Lead and Gokd is really good also; I'm not sure why there's not more interest in it than there is currently.

Lead and Gold is quite a cool looking western themed MP shooter. I have the game and I do like it because...

for the gameplay, among the plus factors for me is that:
1. each class has its own strength, so if you're close to your team-mates you can tap into their strength (called synergy within the game)
2. when you're shot, you go into 'incap' mode then team-mates can revive you.
3. the longer you play, you gain exp. and level up but this is only within the current games session.

however the game suffers from a poorly coded server browser and the glitches hasn't been fully fixed but if you want to play with your (Steam) friends then it's not an issue.

Well Steam Sale has been and almost gone, and I've not bought anything!

Some good games on offer, but I already have most of them, and the few I'd have gone for were not quite cheap enough to tip me over the edge.

But what about Monkey Island 2 for $2.50? I noticed it's on your wish list. Perfect time to pick it up.

Original Post updated for 2010-11-29 sales.

Last day, and my total damage isn't *too* bad.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic - $2.50
Mount and Blade Complete - $10.00
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - $14.99
Alpha Protocol - $7.49

Total damage $35.00

Could have been worse... but then again, we have Christmas coming...

And no, I didn't win, and no one that I know did either.

I think I spent about $20 (on myself).

Oddly almost none of the games for sale were of particular interest to me or were too expensive. I bought 3 of the Indie packs, EVE, Freedom Force, and... That's all, I think.

And I didn't win the wishlist giveaway.

What about Monkey Island 2? I noticed it's on your wish list.

True - I added it to make a wish list of 5 items just incase I won the competition (I didn't!)

But thanks to your influence Deozaan I did succumb and bought a copy... however, although the transaction completed successfully the game hasn't appeared in my games list!!! Yikes - Steam is playing up on me!

Hope it sorts itself out  :(

I grabbed Starwars KotOR and Freedom Force (thanks Deozaan).

Unfortunately, neither of these work on my computer.  KotOR just plain won't run at all, and Freedom Force is unusable due to a problem with the mouse. Both of these seem to be widespread issues.

Freedom Force is unusable due to a problem with the mouse.

Is that the problem where the mouse moves extremely fast horizontally but extremely slow vertically? (Or was it vice versa?)

Yup, that's the one. It's a little more subtle than that. If you're moving fast, it behaves as you describe. If you're moving slowly to try and hit a particular spot, it doesn't move at all in either direction.

That's happening to me, too. Though I hadn't noticed it not moving at all if I moved slow. But that might be because I didn't play long. The mouse issue was too bothersome so I didn't even get into the game from the main menu (I did play around in the menus a little bit). :-/

what is your OS and what mouse are you using? i have both games and since i'm using WinXP, there aren't any major problems with Kotor. widescreen isn't supported but it scales quite well.

as for Freedom Force, i had to reduce the sensitivity (400-800 dpi) within the game. though my mouse, Logitech mx518 comes with the ability to change the dpi on the fly but the results are not that satisfactory.
