London's bird's eye view:

"This is an 80-gigapixel panoramic photo, made from 7886 individual images. This panorama was shot from the top of the Centre Point building in central London, in the summer of 2010. We hope that the varied sights and energy of London have been captured here in a way never done before, so that you can experience one of the world's great cities - wherever you may be right now.

"To control this image, use the controls on the screen or click and hold your mouse button on the photo, and move your mouse around. To zoom in and out, use your mouse wheel, or the "Shift" and "Control" keys. Be sure to zoom in all the way to see the full detail of the photo!"

Wonderful quality photo and great viewing software but looking at it reminds me why I never ever want to live in a town again - let alone a large city.

Once criticism - perspective is a bit off/uncorrected.

lol awesome photo, but with in 30 seconds, i found a few editing mistakes.

When you load the software, look straight down to see the construction site, then move left up a road where there is an ambulance, 2 taxis, and a red bus, zxoom in near the taxis and look at the shop 'Foyles for Books'

The people outside this shop must be ghosts as they have sunk into the pavement, and one has no legs! (Im sure, with another 30 seconds, i could find some more)

Also, theres a double up of the woman in the orange jumper and black skirt.

(And yes, im one of these people who get bored when on google street view and find as many errors as I can lol

Just because I found the mistakes, doesnt mean I do not appreciate the time, effort and skill thats gone into this project, and think it is amazing.

Yeah, I found some mistakes too. Didn't get around to posting them until now though.

Where exactly does that brown building disappear to?

Incredible images captured from 425 miles above the Earth's surface

These are pretty good as well.

This panoramic photo was stitched on a Fujitsu CELSIUS workstation comprising dual 6-core CPUs, 192GB of RAM, and a 4GB graphics card.

Using this excellent workstation allowed this record-breaking photo to be created a few weeks faster than would have been possible on any other available PC.

Wonder if I should look under "desktops" to find such a power plant...
Can normal private people even buy such a beast?

Went back and had a look...

Right by the yellow, orange, green building there's a bus that's half phased into an alternate universe. :)

I was surprised to notice how little the photographer is telling about his gear, his equipment, on Flickr's they quite often talk about nothing else ;-)

I used a digital SLR camera and a 400mm lens. I also used a special custom-built robotic camera mount,
