exchange 2003 and blackberry
« on: February 02, 2010, 05:35 AM »
My superintendent informed me last night he would like to get 4 or 5 blackberries.  we are currently running exchange 2003.  I believe any upgrade to a newer exchange and also a blackberry server is out of the question.

I have been told that MS has a free "client" that will allow exchange 2003 to work with them but I haven't been able to find it on google.

does anyone here have any experience with this kind of thing?

thanks,
Dave

It's my understanding that this functionality is native to the device. It uses the same RPC over HTTP MAPI connection that the Windows mobile (with Outlook) devices do. So if OWA (Outlook Web Access) is enabled/exposed/available to the web as an option, the BlackBerry can/will connect there too (in much the same fashion).

OWA is already enabled which is all I kinda thought was needed anyway.  But you never know.
