Sothink SWF Quicker 4.7 on GAOTD January 6

Has anyone used this program? Or anything from Sothink?

This program apparently is sold for $84.95 normally - or at least the GAOTD page and Sothink's website claim. Looks like SWF Quicker 5.0 is released and this version is 4.7. Still, heck of a deal IF it is a good, reliable program.

Any comments?

I've used their SWF Decompiler and something else whose name I can't now recall (both also from GAOTD). Both did what I wanted well enough that they stayed on my machine. I'm too inexpert to give any serious critique of either beyond the simple fact that it works and doesn't screw up anything else. I'm using a 32-bit XP. At least one comment on GAOTD implies that there could be problems on a 64-bit system.

I'm running Windows 7 32-bit presently - no 64 here! Maybe I'll give this a try.

I wish I've read that before the offer expired. I didn't take it because it "merely" was for the old version, I *thought*!

I was able to update to 5.0. Only bad part of this is that they try to install Software Informer. There's a box to uncheck but if you are moving at normal speed you might miss it. I always go very slowly whenever installing something from GAOTD just for that reason.

EDIT: I should have mentioned that Software Informer appears to be built-in to the installer package by GAOTD, not Sothink. So don't hold what I said against Sothing. (I saw a few little ads on the GAOTD site for their "Software Informer).  Jim
