Progress Bars of Life lets you create a set of custom progress bars that will graphically show the progress towards different events in your life.

You can create as many progress bars as you like, and display them in various ways -- for example, docked to the edge of a screen and always visible, or invisible and shown on command.

Create progress bars that show things like how close you are to the weekend, to your birthday, to your graduation, to your due date, until your death, till the end of the current hour, etc.

• Reorganized options tabs to make the main item list easier to see.
• Added minimize-to-tray item in right click menu.
• Added hotkeys for moving items up and down and improved instructions in item editor.

You should see a new option on General tab to turn off OnTop behavior.  Uncheck that and see if it works ok.

Thanks for doing that dvally -- sorry it's taken me so long to reply.

Well that screencast makes very clear how it's a bug that cannot be allowed to remain. it's at the top of my todo list and i'll try to fix it this weekend if i can.

I know it must be caused by me forcing LBC to be on top periodically -- which i put in place at a kludge to fix some problem related to LBC losing ontop status.. So fixing this may bring that issue back, but we'll cross that bridge when we remember where it is.

hi artifact, sorry for the delay in replying!

In v4 i changed the clipart directories and REMOVED the idea of standalone masks.

So kunkels instructions won't work the way he originally posted -- which was to apply the mask and then apply the frame as two separate steps.

However, i have made a new download:

That zip contains two files:
KunkelHands.png
KunkelHands.png.mask

Just follow the read me instructions in that zip which tell you to copy those files to the Frames directory.

Then when you apply the frame png the mask will be automatically applied, as desired.

All use of frames that make use of masks should be done this way from now on, as a paired set with the mask having same name as frame but with .mask extension (doesn't matter the file format of the mask -- jpg is best i think).

I've fixed similar problems recently in my other docking bar apps, so i should be able to fix it now in LBC -- can someone remind me though a concrete example of what LBC does and how to nudge it into doing this bad thing, so i can more easily test it?

Jim,

The Fprocs plugin should solve your second request -- there is also an alt-tab like plugin somewhere but i can't find it.

As for a plugin that automatically searches google when you press a hotkey -- that's an interesting idea.. i can think of a couple of ways that could ALMOST be done without using a plugin.. Perhaps it would be useful if i added some more options to the hotkey configuration in FARR to support NON-GLOBAL local hotkeys..

I haven't done much work on YUMPS in a while, but I'm trying to get myself worked up to make another run at it.. Scary thing is i'm thinking about starting from scratch and spending a little more time on up-front design, and doing so in a language-neutral way.

I could release the existing YUMPS code but i'm not sure what good that would do anyone..
