That sounds like Skrommel's ClipStep. Or try ClipX if you want some basic interface to manipulate clipboard contents, apart from extending it.

that's been worked on a good bit since by TWmailrec -

re formatting -
one way could be to use the table button

click edit on your post
then select say, the first batch of text
table.png
then click the table button (top of image there)
you end up with this
TEXT HERE
e.g
• Is there a lighter version of Incollector for both Windows and Linux?

Quality:

1. Easy to export
2. None-notepad like (template box)

Problem:

As much as Incollector is my preferred bookmarking and snippets taker because of it's non-writing notes feel and easy on the eyes preview of contents, it doesn't have a one box template where you can just write something without putting a title on it.

• How to determine which free/freemium online file storage is reputable and won’t die down one day. I’ve heard of ftp but I don’t know how those work.

Quality:

Won't suddenly store all your backups if you've become dirt poor and can't afford their monthly subscription services. After all, what's the point of having an online backup service if it's only while your rich or can afford to pay it? Might as well settle for an external hard disk.

P.S. It's only for personal usage.

Currently considering:

Jungledisk

Problem:

I need to shell out cash to test it out.

1. no, I wasnt being sarcastic :)

(I'll be honest, I don't really have the techie knowledge to understand what S3 is)
about my level :)
all I know is I can backup stuff there - they did run into some trouble lately with it but people were in general impressed with how they responded (they were very open about the problems & how they were fixed) and nothing was lost.

JungleDisk does make it very simple
The S3Drive makes it very simple too - but I dont know how simple it is to set it up
some screenshots here.  I had a tutorial bookmarked or saved at some stage but cant find it ...

I just don't see the point of online backup services if their level of reliability is just a costlier external disk that you have to regularly maintain with your wallet.

it's an interesting point - would you hope that they simply hold the backup until you pay up ?
Obviously better than deleting it all - of course if they do this too quickly they'll get a bad rep very quickly
Impression I get is that people feel more secure with paid backup options than free ones but that's not much help really

- I'm using JungleDisk/Amazon S3 myself - do you know you dont actually need JungleDisk to use S3 backup facilities - there is an open source (I think) S3Drive which works in a similar way - I havent heard anything about in a while but got good reviews over the last couple of years. Cost of actually trying out S3 is minimal unless you're uploading hundreds of GBs straight away :-)
You may have to read terms of agreement etc (scary thought) to find out what happens if you dont pay

Still think you should separate the topics more within the first post - I get a headache trying to read it !

I get the feeling you might be better starting a few different threads ( otherwise we could simply move most of the forum into this thread ;D )
or at least number your questions so it's easier to respond & keep track of who's talking about what - it's actually very difficult to see where you move from one major question/theme to the next

Have you tried the search here -
there's lately been a few good threads about online backup for example, a good mini-review of Jungle Disk
another thread was titled something with Carbonite

But couldn't you use something separate just for registry?

yeah, seems to me you're doing pretty well if you get the other six points in one programme (I know I know you're looking for the ideal backup - you could always make a request with SBPro if it otherwise suits & maybe you'll get it in time!)
-
but it begs the question:-
is there a simple programme that you can use to backup registry keys ?

Google has dropped the ball there. There's no excuse for it. When something is THAT popular and bug... errr... I mean big... When it's that big it needs to rise to a bit higher standard.

could that be a conscious decision I wonder - especially with their own browser coming onto the market ...

oh yes the replies,
"How do you know" - i don't, it's loosely and lightheartedly assumed, but of course it's always safer to run away in fear under uncertainty
"mean way" - it wasn't intend to be mean, you inferred, it was your interpretation, my robotic heart was not programmed to be mean, i read the manual

http://www.editgrid....ry/List_of_Outliners is definitely something to work with though. thanks for improving on the original. much more helpful. i'm not sure what the goal of the list is, but if i were to fix it up with the goal of it being more helpful i would:
-alphahumanoid841 (September 01, 2008, 01:39 PM)

I think he just wanted to make it sortable & editable so that others could contribute
but
The list was getting corrupted due to bad sorting...

So to make this sharing experience:

1- It would be best if users would register, that way, we’d see who modified what, and could be advised if another roll-back is required
2- When sorting, make sure you select all columns and check “Has header row”, this will leave the first row at the top.

I think that for the benefit of all (and as I have little time to spend on this), I’ll restrict the usage somewhat:

- The list is now read-only by default
- To make changes, click the UnLock button at the bottom and enter the password: outliners

Hopefully, this will avoid corruption. Again, it would help if users registered…

If this password approach does not help, we can use community access or invitation-based e-mail access methods.

Hehe, thank you :) Yes it's Norway, more specifically a small island called Onøy at the coast of Helgeland. If you're interested in seeing a few more pictures, here's a link to a few taken by someone else. They are all from either this island or one of the (many) other ones right next to it in the same municipality.

looks very beautiful, amazing mountains - look like lumps of rock ( probably are I'm sure :) )
in ways reminds me of the west coast of ireland (the stoney bits especially) except it looks like ye get good summers at least ;)

I'm using SQLNotes that way but it does a lot of other things & it's in beta at the moment but I believe it wont "Be free or [relatively] cheap" but will be portable.
I also use it for time-tracking related to each file and also for keeping track of the "stage" the file is at

there was a similar thread about this previously and TucknDar suggested ChoiceEditor and Open File Shell, from which ChoiceEditor was quite well-received. :)

IDEA: Replacement for Windows 'Open With...' dialogue

unfortunately that never worked properly for me - but it may depend on your file manager and the programmes you trying to open file in - I think my problem was with Dopus and/or some viewer but not sure anymore.. - easy enough to try out though

Do you use XYPlorer ?
dont think so ... but it has an "open with" option that looks very good

Living Room / Re: Take That Stupid Printer -- Stop Tricking Me Into Wasting Ink!
« Last post by tomos on August 31, 2008, 12:21 PM »
Don't get me wrong - I really love the Canon PIXMA MP830. Best color photos I have ever printed. Easy and fast duplex printing - both side of the paper. Automatic Document Feeder that takes about 20 - 25 sheets. And the Canon ink is relatively inexpensive.

Just hate it when it doesn't recognize a new cartridge!

that's ridiculous, esp at the price of canon inks

I have a Canon iP6600D photo printer, I actually use substitute inks (but I researched & got good quality ones)
but point is it was a pain at first cause I had to take the chips from the canon cartridge & add it to the replacement* - then what happens is it's not recognised - like the canon ones you're talking about.
But, at this stage you have the option to disable ink checking and you can then use your "dud" cartridges -  as I say, if you're willing to sacrifice the ink-checking
They dont advertise this & it seemed to have worked slightly differently for different cartridges iirc & to be honest I cant remember what exactly has to be done (only had to do it once for each colour) but sure you could find out easy enough.

p.s. forum looks fine here

* JetTec & KMP inks no longer require this

say you havent checked unread posts in a while & there's a few pages of them
a "select all" option would be nice (i.e. select all on current page)
then you could mark page as unread (or deselect a couple first) & refresh

There is already a feature that lets you do that: (see attachment in previous post)

sorted thanks  ;D

:) Try SwapMouseButtons!

thanks Skrommel   :D

I've only gotten round to trying that today - I had to give my left arm a rest so was just using right mouse for the last week (I'm left-handed)

Anyways,
when I click Win+S first a small "0" in a box shows just SE of cursor,
when I click again, a "1" shows again just below/right of cursor
These dont go away, I mean there's always one of them there ..

But a bigger problem is that on second click the mouse settings box opens - it opens the logitech tab with a wizard to help you asking which side of keyboard the mouse is etc.

I will try uninstalling the logitech soft - only installed it to see could I get around this problem some way - and see if that helps
Was thinking maybe it using this hotkey too but can find no indication othat - but you never can tell !
