my pardon to be wide off-mark but allow me to try again. :) you may have noticed app's mentioning of Trout, which is Skwire's magnum opus. you can load a playlist (tpl,m3u,pls,wpl), choose to remove duplicates and save the playlist. hth..

if you haven't solved the problem yet, you can use Skwire's PlayTime. Load an m3u or wpl, sort, remove the duplicates and save.

Also...It doesnt mention which plugin I actually need................................

do you really want to rely on a browser that can't identify the most common of plugins? :D

Yyyep, that's fixed it all right. Good one - I don't see anything that's been compromised by reducing that border padding to 1.

Thanks, lanux.     Tim...we cool, guv?   ;D

you're welcome.. i was quite annoyed by the fat borders too that i went looking for a way to turn it off. :)

Well, Vista, but I share the sentiment. Can we try borderless please old bean? Sorry to be a bit of an "Uncle Ted"

i think that has something to with the "Border Padding". see link below on how to reduce it. (the default size is '4').

Screenshot Captor / Re: Snapshot only to Clipboard?
« Last post by lanux128 on February 06, 2011, 08:57 AM »
is it possible to configure the software without to store a file.

The most programmes I use, can take the pictures from clipboard.

So I have always to delete the files.

haven't tried this before but the option is there. go to Screenshot Captor Options > Saving and Loading Files and check the 'Don't Auto Captures' option.

if you're comfortable with AHK, you can roll-out a mashup since you can modify the code as you like. here's one such script for tray minimizer - Min2Tray.

and this is a screenshot of something similar i did.

DC Gamer Club / Pre-order Rift and get special items in Team Fortress 2
« Last post by lanux128 on February 03, 2011, 11:39 PM »
The devs of Rift have made a special tie-in with Valve's online shooter Team Fortress 2, which offers some bonus items in both games. these tie-ins are becoming the norm for Valve to capitalize on the hat-loving crowd, showing how much virtual items are held in high regards by their fans.

Steam customers who pre-order Rift by March 1st will get two exclusive melee weapons in Team Fortress 2, the Sharpened Volcano Fragment and the Sun-on-a-Stick (see pic). Additionally, players who complete the new Riftwalker achievement will receive a redeemable code for an equally exclusive (and terrifying) headpiece in Rift, the Well Spun Hat.

Living Room / Facebook private photos are not so private
« Last post by lanux128 on February 01, 2011, 08:20 PM »
... You may say that the photo is private in your control panel, but that does not necessarily make it so. The privacy settings are designed to make the “private” photos public, but it does not seem to work that way. If you can see a photo, you can copy it. All you have to do is right click on it and choose “copy link” to copy and paste the link into Facebook or another application, or just click on Save image to save it to your hard disk.

Living Room / *URGENT* Patch IE security flaw (31 January 2011)
« Last post by lanux128 on February 01, 2011, 05:10 AM »
BBC ran this news about a "newly-discovered flaw in Windows that could be used by malicious hackers to steal private information or hijack computers". it seems that Microsoft has issued a software patch while a long-term fix is in the works. The patch can be found here.

Okay, my intention was to give the user feedback regarding the programs intentions. So they weren't waiting for it to do something else, and/or were not sure it had completely closed. If it is actually causing more confusion I can pull it out of the next build.

actually i don't mind the feedback. it's good to have an exit notice for the reasons you stated.
923
That error message is (should only be) displayed when you hit the cancel button.

yes, that's what i did. was just testing on a PC with non-wifi component to see what happens.

LaunchBar Commander / Re: Shutdown Windows toolbar ( SuperboyAC special for DC!)
« Last post by lanux128 on January 31, 2011, 09:02 PM »
iirc, mouser included a shutdown toolbar with LC sometime back consisting of nircmd shortcuts but a false positive malware alert caused him to remove it.

anyway for command line parameters, there is a shutdown.exe included in both WinXP and Win7. you can expand on it..

I was wrong.  There's no error.  Maybe i was using the older version.

you're not imagining it. the error also appeared on my WinXP desktop. i'm using the version that Stoic Joker posted latest. (yup, version numbering might be a good idea). :)
