try this mod by Hendrik Lipka (further edited to include v4 max version string)..

Note: the addon is zipped due to forum attachments' restriction.

Good catch Lanux.  I took b) as either/or so yes, it does the first part, but not the second.

yup, but as you mentioned a feature request note to mouser might change that. :)

Screenshot captor supports name field variables so d) is possible but the latter part of b) isn't possible right now. SC auto-saves into a pre-defined folder, however later the screenshots can be moved into other folders with a handy 'Move To' menu item.

Skwire Empire / Re: Steam URL Converter
« Last post by lanux128 on March 26, 2011, 05:10 AM »
thanks to skwire for this tool.

the Steam shortcuts are a bit wonky on my PC, they always get the IE's globe icon instead of the actual icon. this tool helps to fix that, also it's easier to input command-line parameters on an .lnk file than an .url one. :)

i also had a cursory look at the forums but it seems quite up-to-date with the author (Oleg) answering most of the queries.

in any case, thanks for the feedback, Curt. i'm going to install RoboTask as well.

I'll probably wait a few days to see if they release a small point (ie. bug fix) update. That seems to be the pattern-- every time I download the "new" version they release a newer version the very next day.

looks like this release is quite stable. no small point bug fixes yet. :)

i'm going to add some extensions to see how it performs.

Find And Run Robot / Re: Creating a shortcut to a URL
« Last post by lanux128 on March 18, 2011, 10:17 PM »
i just realised that for Firefox 3, there is an extra step involved to make the plugin work. check out the reference below. :)

In firefox 3 -- the new default method of storing bookmarks is incompatible with the way FarrFox searches bookmarks.
If you still want to use FarrFox you can do so by following the short instructions here on telling Firefox 3 to keep the bookmarks html file updated regularly:
http://www.lytebyte....ks-to-bookmarkshtml/

After making the change on that page i had to exit firefox and give it a minute to update the bookmarks file -- after that all worked fine.

What I would like to see is the capacity for FARR to find my URLs in the Firefox bookmark file.  But I don't know how to do that.  Is it possible?  (Please note that I am really enjoying using this utility.)

you can do that with the FarrFox plugin which can search IE, Firefox and Opera bookmarks.

it's a price glitch alright. previously they had some of the titles for a dollar. you'd better grab some of the games while the 'offer' lasts!

@40hz: i don't think the author has a website currently. the author dropped by the chat-room a few days back asking if he could release the software here at DoCo and we sort of pointed him to this board. the setup file was initially hosted at mediafire, so we suggested he attach it in this thread. i've downloaded and scanned the installer although i've yet to install it.

some info i gleaned from the author while at the chatroom: the program is QT-based and the data are saved in sqlite. i believe the author will be around soon to fill in the gaps. :)

I would like a freeware. Is it possible ?
Best Regards

as tomos pointed out, the PDF-XChange Viewer is free "for both Private and Commercial use" as is the shell extension.

PDF-XChange Viewer has a shell extension to display thumbnails of PDF files in Windows Explorer. you can try that.

My most used SPECIAL program has got to be Fallout 2. I haven't seen the SPECIAL system used in any thing besides fallout.

SPECIAL system? VATS that? ;D

there is a similar tool called TouchFreeze, and an AHK version of it.

SUPER © 2011 Build 47
...
WARNING:
You may not want to get build 47 anyway! The installer was unable to download "something", and I was forced to abort installation. So now I have no SUPER © at all!

the embellishments started from build 45's installer itself.. that's why i am only using build 42 now.
