PhilSnooper found  it at [REMOVED BY MOUSER]
So now that he's posted it anyway....   How did you find it?

ARGH!  My suppositions were correct... but mouser cheated!  He abbreviated it ESR!

So... is the beta posted somewhere yet?  I see that ewemoa has it also?
6703
But yeah, the original story is pretty much over, I agree.

Actually... not.  I was more right than I knew when I said the bit about legacies, I guess...  ;D

Windows 7 won't become a rarity overnight, and Microsoft will surely fix windows 8 in SP1, just as it did with Vista every other version of Windows.

FTFY  8)

I've not known a version of Windows to be solid the first iteration yet.  It's just with some iterations, people forget it more than others.  ;D

Sorry :(  I was trying to find your carefully hidden download, and came across it.

Note: There's an Easy Screen Recorder already, so not sure if that affects your choice of name :(

...and I give up. :)

I'm thinking outside the box and saying that to look at his other apps, and the link is similar, i.e.

or

but those are just off the top of my head (and both return 404s)

"The Dark Force is strong in the US Tax Code," says Yoda. "Fear it"  ;D

That's one thing that I've learned that I don't think that some others realize.  NSA, CIA, FBI, DHS, etc. ... none of the alphabet soup agencies are as scary as the IRS.  They might not actively go looking in most cases... but when they get roused, there's few that can stand in their way.

I know about the 2009 renegotiations, but I thought those were only exceptions for things that basically affect large money transactions, i.e. the combining of Tax Evasion and Tax Fraud (where one of them was previously not covered- I forget which), Organized Crime, and one other exception.  Other than that, everything is covered by the 1934 accords and has mandatory prosecution if the information is revealed.  Not to say that enough pressure couldn't be placed on the Swiss, but this doesn't seem to be covered (or not covered better) by current exclusions.

It would be pretty easy to seize it under a variety of pretenses if it were banked in any of the usual "legit" places.

Wouldn't a Swiss bank account be an option?  Or is that haven less of a haven these days? (Well, other than the fact that they used the organized crime card against him already?)

N.A.N.Y. 2013 / NANY 2013 Pledge - Skyrim Character Manager
« Last post by wraith808 on November 07, 2012, 02:00 PM »
NANY 2013 Entry Information

Application NameSkyrim Character Manager
Short DescriptionManage the save files for multiple characters in Skyrim
Supported OSesWindows XP/Vista/7
Web Pagehttp://thinkshui.net...m-character-manager/
Setup FileSee the release thread
DescriptionSkryim is another great game by Bethesda – a worthy addition to The Elder Scrolls line. There are some problems with AI, and scaling at higher levels, but all of that is minor in relation to the sense of atmosphere and immersion the story line brings. But the one area that I think they fell short on was the ability to play multiple characters. And this is a game that cries out for multiple playthroughs.

Enter the Skyrim Character Manager. It’s made for one thing- to help manage the save files for multiple characters. It also holds additional information as wanted for the different characters as I do like a bit more role-playing in my role-playing games.
Features
  • Backed by a database that holds fluff information about each character
  • Allows the moving of save files from active to inactive directories
  • Allows files to be backed up
  • Links to run Skyrim, and visit popular sites
  • Provides interface to delete save files
ScreenshotsSkryimCharacterManager.png
InstallationWith .NET 4.0 installed, unzip application to location and run.
UninstallingDelete application install location.
NotesRequires .NET 4.0.

What does he get out of it? 400 million is a lot for a "present" to give a country! (In other news, does operating megaupload make that much money? Or is someone else financing this for him?)

That's the 400 Million Dollar question- especially as part of the money is being fronted by 'silent investors'.  Of course, it could be national pride and philanthropy.

But what I don't get is that this is supposed to be the stripped down version of Windows.  If they're trying to go the apple route, iOS6 takes less than 1GB of space including all of the included apps.  I'm not sure how much Android takes, but I'm sure it's less than 16GB.  And for the price points?  Just having the ability to add space doesn't make up for it, IMO.

Surface Disk Space FAQ

surfacediskspace.png

So *that's* why there's no 16GB Surface.  I can't believe that they would release this and just expect people to be OK with losing that much space.  They should have to advertise them as 16 and 45 GB instead of 32 and 64GB.

They just shot themselves in the foot before they even started the race. (I'm sure I mangled a metaphor or two somewhere in there)

General Software Discussion / Re: Any program to manually run startup programs?

I use StartupManager.  There was some dustup over OpenCandy, but as they release a portable version and the source, I never dealt with that problem.  With the portable one you just extract and run.

I know not exactly what you were asking for, but with startup delayer you can skip the delays and skip over anything that you have set to start up also.

I don't know of anything that does exactly what you ask, but it does sound interesting.  Would you then after ticking the ones that you want to start, then want them all to be spawned at the same time or in any particular order?  Or manually to be started after you select it?

(Not promising that I'm going to do it... just wondering as this sounds intriguing)
