The worst part is, you just know that the way they are going to choose which 10% get the advertised maximum speed is by determining which users never actually use their internet connection more than once a month...-mouser (November 16, 2011, 07:03 AM)
Critics say consumers are being misled by internet service providers who continue to advertise their maximum broadband speeds, even though many users do not get them.
New rules from the Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) say that from April next year providers will no longer be able to advertise maximum speeds for net packages unless 10% of customers receive them.
Yes, Scoopertino is a fun one (I liked the Apple kool-aid...).
And they were quite classy about the whole business after Jobs passed.

Apple Kool-Aid was quickly rejected by the FDA, which normally frowns upon products that toy with our brains. However, they reversed their ruling just as quickly after drinking the juice themselves.
Before I embark, please throw light to me to see another free one which does all these and may be more, and I will embrace it.-anandcoral (November 14, 2011, 05:34 AM)
It's still there. If you're not *sure* but want to notify someone, I did find a place to post it.-wraith808 (November 11, 2011, 07:05 AM)
While the physical part of changing the memory chip shouldn't be that hard (depending of ones soldering skills and equipment availability). I think the main question should be, Will the phones system architecture allow it to access/utilize the extra memory if it is added? Because if the answer to that question is no...there ain't much point in cracking the thing open.-Stoic Joker (November 11, 2011, 06:49 AM)
I don't mind walking the plank - my martyrdom would be secured. All hail the Spaghetti Monster - tomato ketchup or not, leave him unsullied. A little olive oil would do (extra virgin of course).-Carol Haynes (November 09, 2011, 07:49 AM)

They're an online store, and lots of online stores remember payment details to make it easier for you to buy stuff from them.-Deozaan (November 10, 2011, 05:56 PM)
My problem is the opposite, really — this vision, from an interaction perspective, is not visionary. It's a timid increment from the status quo, and the status quo, from an interaction perspective, is actually rather terrible.
This matters, because visions matter. Visions give people a direction and inspire people to act, and a group of inspired people is the most powerful force in the world. If you're a young person setting off to realize a vision, or an old person setting off to fund one, I really want it to be something worthwhile. Something that genuinely improves how we interact.
Hopefully, we can leave us Pastafarians out of all that!-Renegade (November 08, 2011, 10:55 PM)
Is that the group that worship Dawkin's Spaghetti Monster?-Carol Haynes (November 09, 2011, 06:38 AM)
But unfortunately some do, just as some Christians pervert the bible (and I'm assuming that the same goes on in other religions, i.e. humans are humans and religion is a powerful tool).-wraith808 (November 08, 2011, 10:39 PM)
Are you looking to tie into one of the existing pet adoption systems (like PetFinders.com) to leverage an existing backend database. I mention because they have an existing API/SDK for tieing into their db, and the local HS uses them.-Stoic Joker (November 08, 2011, 04:58 PM)
