General Software Discussion / Re: online tool or software to create a treeview
« Last post by kalos on March 05, 2015, 06:00 AM »
the easiest solution I found is to use skwire's text to folders to actually create the folder hierarchy in Windows

now I need to extract the actual screenshot of it, but it's hard because it's very long!

what can I do?

General Software Discussion / online tool or software to create a treeview
« Last post by kalos on March 05, 2015, 05:35 AM »
hello

I want to create a virtual treeview, as the folder/file view you get in Windows when viewing as a treeview hierarchy

it doesn't have to be functional, I just want the treeview to edit and display

is there a tool for this?

I am looking to specify parent folders and subfolders (their names) and display the whole structure in a treeview

can I do it in Excel? in Word? in another tool? online? using JS or something?

thanks!

Living Room / online design program
« Last post by kalos on March 02, 2015, 07:50 AM »
hello!

I am looking for an online design program that is really full featured

for example, I wanted to make to concentrical circles and between them to draw vertical springs

I could create the concentrical circles in most online design progams, but no one had an option to draw springs!

I am working on mechanically oriented drawings

any idea?

thanks!

I can't tell if I run standard or professional etc version, it won't tell at Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System !
how can I know?

As for network adapter settings, the magic packet option is faded out and cannot be ticked!
I can only tick the "allow this device to wake the computer"

oh sht, I am out of luck

I hate teamviewer (I prefer the much better Ammyy) and I am extremely disappointed by chrome, as it installs a taskbar shortcut itself every time I run it!

can't I do it via that microsoft remote desktop? I like the idea not to have an installed app in my laptop and this microsoft program may work directly with Windows

« Last post by kalos on February 20, 2015, 02:35 PM »
no my phone definitely takes a microusb connector, it's samsung galaxy note 2, version uk

it's not the connector inside my phone that gets destroyed, it's the plug of the cable that I insert

maybe the cheap cables I buy is the problem? but the plug that gets into the phone, gets a bit dismantled and the usb plug bent

Fing - Scan network and send WoL (Wake on LAN) packets.
ES File Explorer - Copy/open files on network computers.
Microsoft Remote Desktop - Remote PC access (works better than any other Android remote app I've tried).

You need your laptop set to wake when it receives WoL packets which is usually in the BIOS.

thanks for this!
but isn't ES File Explorer's purpose already satisfied with Microsoft Remote Desktop ? I mean can't I open/transfer etc files via the latter?

hello!

is there a way to control my laptop via my android phone?

I basically want to wake it up from sleeping, browse it as usual, open files, transfer files, perform actions, run and kill programs, etc and then make it sleep again

is that possible?

or the only way to wake up a sleeping laptop is via hardware, eg click the power button or open the lid, etc?

thanks!
