Good enough for me, message me your address and i'll send it off.
I'm send you the whole kit, that way when you tire of it you can give it to someone else who might need the car mounts.

holding it by hand??

I mean even if it's not quite as fast on the draw updating my progress as driving, it would still be better than stark raving terror I have now!

i'm confused.

its an optional weighted thing that can sit on the dashboard to hold the device, instead of using the suction mount.

but seriously, and in light of the above, what are you having trouble with?

I suppose part of why I posted was to try to talk myself out of doing this work that probably doesn't need to be done.. But no luck on that front, i seem to have been bitten by the bug.

But the main thing I still am chewing on is the jobs that need my car to be lifted AND level (rear differential oil change for awd).. For that I need to lift both sides, which makes me a bit nervous, and requires me to get a few more things.

Been a while since we did any spring cleaning.

Anyone want this? Garmin Nuvi 760 with accessories.
I updated the maps fairly recently, and I may have upgraded the firmware, can't remember.  Has some additional accessories and a 4gb memory card.
I will pay for shipping within the US.

Nice find Nod5, that Sony Digital Paper looks very close to ideal for reading academic pdfs.. Too bad the price is so insane ($1000).

Neat!

I personally find it hard to code if I think someone is watching me.. Though to be fair I have a hard time walking if I think someone is watching me.  :-\

What version of Screenshot Captor are you running? It will say in the about box of the program.

Others will be able to give better advice for editing, which I rarely do, but my general advice might be to stick with irfanview or xnview for your #5 (fast image browsing) and some quick stuff like #2 (cropping).
That will make it easier to find an editing tool that meets your other requirements.

If you right-click on the tray icon (bottom right corner of screen), the first item at the top of the menu should toggle the quick capture (floating tool) bar.
It's also the first item in the View menu of the main window.

Does that work?

I think you guys are forgetting who you are takling to... :-\

First thing I did when i got the car was get an OBD2 scanner.. Then torque for android to let me analyze data further.
Read my car manual cover to cover several times, got the service manual for it and browsed through that.
And then I watched dozens of videos over and over about doing maintenance.
Then read 1000s of forum posts on my specific car, and cars in general.
Then bought several large books on how cars work and how to maintain your car and read them cover to cover.
Etc, etc.

One thing you might try is copying a video into your Screenshot Captor screenshot directory -- it should be able to open it and let you easily save frames, etc.

Can you share a description or some screenshots -- would be fun to see how you are using them.

It's not a bad idea, I will put the option to customize activation area size on my todo list and see how hard it is.
I'm reluctant to promise it at this time because the hiding dock stuff has proved so fragile and finicky and kludgey that i don't want to break anything -- but i will give it a look.
