M.J. Hardy didn't even bother to change the front page of the help manual!  :o

But what is this talk (2) about:
FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, PLEASE:
1)Re-scan downloaded files using your personal virus checker before using it.
2)NEVER, EVER run compiled files (.exe's, .ocx's, .dll's etc.)--only run source code.
3)Scan the source code with Minnow's Project Scanner
?

I mean:
[hint]most people like me have no idea what a source code is or what to do with it.[/hint:tellme:

- edited for hint...

"Well… here I am.. another author ripped by Mr. Hardy. My iQ WordProcessor source code and interface was ripped off from Planet Source Code and is being distributed as Ultra-Pad on his web site."

This is sad what have happened to this Tom Moran. Can 'someone' please direct us to this program of his? I have not been able to find anything close to the name “iQ WordProcessor” anywhere! I would like to know if this story is true.

New QTTabBar version 1.2.1.3 (2008-1-11)

It is more stable, I think, at least on my (unstable) XP.

They are offering it again TODAY, 16'th January 2008

I really like that it has this build-in registry explorer:

.. categorize your context menu using something like Hace MMM  ..
+. The free version lets you remove items you don't need but doesn't let you create your own subfolders, IIRC.

So, nosh, is Mmm+ ever updated?
or may I as well purchase the no updates version ($10 against $17~$30)?
:tellme:

Edit: Hang me (not) if I am wrong, but it seems there have been no updates at all since 2005, so I grabbed the $9.99 version. The procedure went well.

Yes, Michael did rip off .NET Paint, it seems, but that was back then and has very little to do with Ultra-Pad, hasn't it. But if his basic idea of work is to let others do the hard part and then add some changes and take the credit for all of it, it would explain why any of my feature requests not yet have been fulfilled: He is waiting for someone else to do the work!

Michael J. Hardy is Not a Scam (Rip Off) Artist!

Mike.jpg

Hi Everybody, My Name is Michael J. Hardy and I found my name on the internet saying that I am a Scam Artist! Well this is completely false. I am a Visual C++ and Visual Basic Programmer with over 5 years of experiance... I have created several products however, some of them used GNU GPL Portions and they are nolonger available due to accusations to me. Yes, I removed the GNU Portions of the Software and now create my own Software without using any gnu portions... If You have questions then please contact me at [email protected]

I AM NOT A SCAM OR RIP OFF ARTIST! DUE NOT LISTEN TO THESE LIES!

OMG, what an interface >_<

yes, Michael has some very 'young' ideas about this, but Skinnable Interface is included.

- ohh, you were looking at the snowy Christmas theme, right? Yeah, that one was not too lucky, but over time there were MANY themes a lot worse!  ;D

The one I am using  is now default theme and is looking quite good:

You should (NOT) try Ultra-Pad (link removed)

It is VERY rich on features, frankly I can only think of two features missing: One is the option to launch some "pre-launcher" at start, to minimize response time, and the other is the option to 1-click close the document but not the program. I have requested both features, and the answer was positive, but that was 'long' ago, well, half a year ago? - maybe some more should request...

Does 'your' renamer support Send To >  ?

I couldn't decide which one to use, but I finally grabbed the FREE Rename Master from JoeJoe, the Jackass! ...

The renaming part of this Master is the finest (thums up) and easy to work with, but unfortunately the "Send To > Rename Master" feature wouldn't work on my XP. And because I also truly disliked the totally strange navigation system this program used, I erased it. The Send To feature is vital I think, and any new renamer of mine must support Send To >

So of course I ask the DC forum:
Does 'your' favourite renamer support Send To ??

You just keep an eye - in a distance... White Smoke is a little too intrusive, meaning that I seldom agree with the suggestions it comes up with - and this to such a degree that I have removed it from start!

BTW: most of the commenters on GAOTD did not understand the purpose of White Smoke - it is not a spell-checker, regardsless of what the ads might be saying.

Scratch Proof Your Gadgets with invisibleSHIELD

Posted: 09 Jan 2008 06:03 PM CST

Many of us carry around all kinds of devices on a regular basis like laptops, GPS units, cell phones, and iPods, just to name a few. And because we carry them around and simply use them, chances are that they will eventually end up scratched. There are multiple protection solutions out there which will help keep all of your devices in tip-top shape, but none are as unique as the ‘invisibleSHIELD.”

I recently learned about invisibleSHIELD - a “unique material originally created for the military to protect the edges of helicopter blades.” This same material is used to protect your devices. It’s not just a cover or a skin, it’s a full-body contour wrap which will make your device look like it’s brand new day after day. The material itself is scratch resistant, and it keeps your device free of scratches. I haven’t tried it for myself to vouch for it, but I came across plenty of people today that had nothing but good things to say.

invisible-shield.jpg < invisible shield

What’s great is that you don’t have to worry about purchasing a “one-size-fits-all” type of solution.  invisibleSHIELD has a custom design for over 500 different gadgets.  If you own something without a shield available, they’ll custom design one. They also offer a lifetime replacement guarantee which means if the protective cover gets scratched or torn, they will replace it for free.  Nice, huh? Even if you have a touch screen device like an iPhone or an iPod Touch, the cover doesn’t impede your use and it doesn’t lose any of its sensitivity.

Conveniently enough, right now they have a 50% off sale going on.  Their products are a little pricey, and so this 50% off sale is pretty big. To get the sale prices, just go to http://www.zagg.com/showspecial.  By using that link, all of the prices are already reduced. For example, an invisibleSHIELD for an Apple iBook 14 inch is on sale for $19.98 from $39.95. An iPod Touch full-body protective shield is $12.48 from $24.95. Remember that it’s guaranteed for life, and so if anything ever happens, it’ll get replaced. They’ve got an “installation” video on their site that’s worth looking at because it gives you an idea of how it all works which is interesting too. You can find it >> here <<.

Note: This deal ends sometime around January 17th

I've found the way to do it, but so far not the right whitesmoke to add (there are several):

- or maybe I did it the wrong way, and that is why it yet doesn't work for me?

CyberNet tells about MediaMonkey:

25% Off MediaMonkey Licenses

Posted: 07 Jan 2008 06:17 PM CST

MediaMonkey
Back on our two-year anniversary we hosted a giveaway for a few MediaMonkey licenses. With over 130 entries we couldn’t exactly give a license to everyone who entered in, but now anyone can get 25% off a MediaMonkey license. The price of a lifetime license goes from $40 down to $30, and a Gold license from $20 down to $15.

You may be aware that there is also a free version of MediaMonkey available, but Gold users get some great advantages. Things like advanced search capabilities, encoding MP3’s, a sleep timer, file monitoring, and more are only found in the Gold version of MediaMonkey.

To get the 25% discount just enter in MM2-UPG-DISC25 as the coupon code during the checkout process. The coupon is good for the entire month of January, which gives you some time to wait for your next paycheck.

Libronix Logos looks quite impressive. But the cheapest version for $150? Ouch! Not very christianly...

 :D  :greenclp:

One BIG difference between Logos and everyone else in this part of the bible study buisness is that Logos is offering NEW material, all the others are only able to offer more than 70 years old books because of the laws on copyrights.

That makes quite a difference!

When it comes to STUDYING the Bible, no-one else can offer a tenth of the features Libronix can offer.
