i found this app called Usb Autorun. however the program & the website is in French, google's translate helped a bit but not much. i have downloaded the app and launched it but the options are not much helpful. can someone help to explain how to operate this program..

so, f+rr doesn't just "double-click" on the Word documents, it sends the file to quickdoclauncher... ok, if it keeps f+rr sprightly..

Launchy looks aesthetic, but imo it lacks a bit on the customising side.. and it would be nice i want to make a screencasting on how to launch a program but for day-to-day use, i'd still stick with f+rr.

i too have no actual need for virtual desktops but i keep one such app , just in case. anyway, here's Robin Keir's BossKey. it may not be a full-fledged virtual desktop manager to some but it's good enough for me...

mouser, why not put in an option to hide a folder if it has no contents, instead of show an empty link.. this will be useful in cutting down the clutter. also how about asking LC not to refresh if there is no change after viewing the preferences. all those jumping windows make me bleary..

we're tinkerers at heart, we'd be happy to go thru the instruction manuals for any gadgets and hope that it comes with loads of option so that we can modify it to our liking. in our spare time, we'll be googling for utilities that we'd would eventually *need*, if not now..

that's why we find ourselves in forums like this.. anyway ending on a note of altruism, i think it's ok because what we find out will be useful to others.

what about mouser's ProcessTamer? instead of monitoring for CPU overload, can't a rule be specified to monitor and alert if CPU level falls below a certain limit..
