KeyLaunch sounds interesting - I'll watch for the next version.

yes, KeyLaunch is interesting, even though it looks similar to Farr...

sc has a place where you can specify a number of directories, which will appear on your MoveTo menu..

i had been aware of the MoveTo menu but i didn't want to move my images around. yes, a "chdir" or "Go to" menu would be more apt in situations, where i use SC as an annotation tool.

in Word, you can also use F12 to invoke the 'Save As' dialog. comes in handy all the time.

in addition to this request, i'd like to suggest a favourites' folders option so that images can stay in their own folders yet can be accessed quickly. WinRar does something like this so i'm attaching a screenshot of it.

Actually there are features in Corectif Explorer that don't work in 9x...were added specifically for Win2k+.
oops, my mistake.. :-[ btw, maybe you'll also be interested in True Launch Bar as a replacement for Tray Tools 2000.

p.s. TLB has a freeware version: Free Launch Bar.

Corectif Explorer is abandonware and it was designed for Win9x. you're better off using PS Tray Factory as Josh suggested..

LaunchBar Commander / Re: Hide empty folders
« Last post by lanux128 on November 02, 2006, 07:40 PM »
mouser. revisiting this topic..

the option "Hide missing files" is very useful when dealing with removable drives.. but if there are broken shortcuts in fixed drives, how about a small pop-up balloon/dialog to show which ones are broken? or maybe indicate via icons..

LC-hidemissingfiles-anotheroption_ver001.png

also how about asking LC not to refresh if there is no change after viewing the preferences.
can this also be implemented?

TapTap / Re: Help file title..
« Last post by lanux128 on October 31, 2006, 08:39 PM »
ps.
when you create transparent images for posting on the web, internet explorer doesnt support transparency so they look wrong.  you could either save as gif with real transparency, or choose from Screenshot Captor Menu: Objects -> "Merge Background Transparency"
thanks for the info, mouser..

Skrommel's Software / Re: Task Log - virus? bug? help
« Last post by lanux128 on October 31, 2006, 08:08 PM »
Skrommel, why don't you add this comment to your page. The one about virus and the response.
yes, i agree.. since skrommel's not around. why don't the mods just make a sticky & let everyone know that they have to compile the scripts themselves to avoid triggering the false alarm..

Find And Run Robot / Re: keyword to search in specific area
« Last post by lanux128 on October 30, 2006, 09:42 PM »
i would like to suggest that this feature be extended to search within certain filetypes only. e.g. typing 'xls expense' or 'excel budget' can return excel files containing the either keywords.

once again, sorry if this has been asked before.. but a reminder would do no harm, i guess. ;)

did they finally get png alpha transparency to work properly?
does it matter anyhow? :)
after the length of time they had neglected IE, i reckon that the MS team will need double that time to catch up with other browsers. but having said that, i think it's good to install IE7 so that you're not left out of any critical updates..
5772
it already does say that
oops! :-[ sorry. you must be thinking how did i end up with these nim-wits.. anyway, thanks for the tip.

just another thought, mouser.
why not move "Create New Image File from Clipboard Image" to Edit menu as "Paste Clipboard Image as New File"? this is consistent with most graphics program. (at least the one i use) :)

Clipboard Help+Spell / Discarding duplicate clips
« Last post by lanux128 on October 19, 2006, 11:23 PM »
there is a feature in CLCL that allows you to discard duplicate items when you do a copy. this is very useful because it keeps the Quick Paste menu neat and short. so, how about implementing this feature? i'm attaching a screenshot showing the option.

Clipboard Help+Spell / Replicating ClipStep in CHS
« Last post by lanux128 on October 19, 2006, 10:57 PM »
mouser,
by any chance, would you be able to replicate Skrommel's ClipStep features in CHS? i mean, use a keyboard short-cut to move through the clips without opening the main window.

P.S. only now i'm giving a good look at this program as an alternative to CLCL.. ;)
