Ctrl+Alt+Enter launches all.
yup, it works.. what about the spacing?
5504
looks good, mouser. the aliases are working again eventhough not the open all aliases shortcut (Ctrl+Enter).. i like the new "File vs. Folder Score Ratio" settings but on the results box, the spacing could be reduced for a slimmer looking results.. :)

Babis, you still need to get your self an improved screenshot tool which takes png images which wont have all that noise you see in your imags.  I still recommend my own Screenshot Captor

yeah Babis, do us all a favour.. ;) or at least increase the JPG quality to at least 85.

maybe that's how they managed to make it so tiny, since sound/dialog takes up most of the space in a game.. :)

Post New Requests Here / Re: IDEA: to Shred a file already in Recycle Bin
« Last post by lanux128 on January 18, 2007, 11:03 PM »
If I'm not really (really) careful about what I'm doing, I'll "Restore" that sensitive file to some unknown place, intending to properly shred the darn thing.
Drat!  Uh,... What was that filename again?  And where is it now?
instead of using the restore function, you can also drag the item to your desktop then shred it to your hearts content.. :) but then again, a tool that can work within the Recycle Bin would prove to be useful too..

HamRadio did a nice & well-covered Icon Tool Shootout review, you might want to check that out.. :)

i can't think of a reason not to use version 2.  if you don't need the folder search feature, just uncheck the folder search option on the General Options tab.
now, that's something i didn't know.. i agree that more options are better, and tinkerers like me always would want to have a look at the options available..

General Software Discussion / BackgroundCMD
« Last post by lanux128 on January 16, 2007, 10:32 PM »
BackgroundCMD is a command prompt folder background shell extension. It allows you to start a command prompt (an instance of cmd.exe) from within any directory that you're currently browsing. even from desktop!

to use, simply right-click the directory background, and select "CMD Prompt" from the context menu. The new console's initial path will be set to the directory you were browsing.

LaunchBar Commander / Re: minimize to tray and reboot..
« Last post by lanux128 on January 16, 2007, 07:47 PM »
if you want it to start docked, leave it docked before you reboot.
sure, i'll try to remember that.. :) but in the case that i forget, the feature that i had requested would be helpful.
5516
i also went the ShortPopUp route but the project hasn't been updated for some time, i think the author is pretty much happy with the end result.. but anyway, with LaunchBar Commander & Free LaunchBar, i've arranged my shortcuts just the way i wanted & i'm pretty much happy with the end result.. :)

But do check out http://www.theprodukkt.com for some info on how they achieve this whole thing.

also, check out the technical FAQ in the readme.txt for some pointers on how they did it.. btw, managed to get a pc with 3d card and the game is just neat!

...my suggestion is publish two versions: a "lite" version for guys like me, maybe even a little trimmed back from Ver 2.0, & a "mega" version ...
that's a good suggestion, DocSavage but currently it's under heavy development & mouser has to move things around.. maybe things will clearer once ver.2 to reaches beta & the dust settles.. also in the meantime, if you don't need the folder search feature, you can always use ver.1 :)

mouser, i agree with Josh (from a few posts above) that this is a good time for a redesign of the options section.. ;)

« Last post by lanux128 on January 16, 2007, 12:46 AM »
for those yet to/ not wanting to upgrade to Vista:
Vista Inspirat Shell Pack is a complete custom shell pack for all Windows XP. It consists of modified icons and a new themed appearance for Windows XP

Before launching the installation you must restore Windows XP original state/dll (Without any shell packs). For example, if you have the Longhorn Transformation Pack, you must uninstall it before installing a new BricoPack.

LaunchBar Commander / minimize to tray and reboot..
« Last post by lanux128 on January 15, 2007, 07:47 PM »
i don't know how to say this but here goes.. :) if i minimize LC to system-tray & reboot, upon restart LC stays in the tray instead of docking to its normal position. is there a way to avoid this?

good to hear that it works well with GF7600GT, at least it doesn't crash horribly with other cards. since it's very small, i just might throw it into my usb stick for diagnostic purpose.. :)
