Mouser, have you seen an ahk script called 320MPH? This is my current favorite for quicklaunching things. Really well thought of.
actually it's listed at the top in the 'Related Programs' section in Farr's help.. :)

for $20, i think LaunchBar Commander is a better option.. but no harm trying this though, since it's free for one day.. :)

you can use GroupAdd command to group all browser apps, then create hotkeys for them using #IfWinActive.. btw, there's plenty of sample script at the AHK forums, you should have a look at them.. :)

mouser, if you have the time, please consider the above request..

btw, i have another feature to request for, i.e. can there be some kind of info-bar on top of thumbnail pane that allows for sorting? right now, i press Ctrl-D, click the headers then press Ctrl-T or Ctrl-L..

seurat01, i don't use that feature but since you've mentioned it, i've tried at my pc and the results are the same.. sounds like a bug, so try posting in the Mozillazine forums here -> http://forums.mozillazine.org/

in the meantime, try this: go to Options>Tabs & choose 'a new window'..

after trying out for a while, i found out that we still have to key-in the time-zone ourselves, i thought it would dig up the profile of our buddies in yahoo, msn, etc & would auto-fill them.. ;)

so now, i still have to ask mouser, tinjaw, etc. where they live & what time is it over there.. not very handy, if you ask me.. :D

General Software Discussion / Re: How to clone large HDDs?
« Last post by lanux128 on January 28, 2007, 09:19 PM »
i use XXCLONE (Freeware, for personal use) most of the time.. it is a product of Pixelab (the makers of XXCopy) & even works in Windows mode..

        * Makes a self-bootable clone of Windows system disk.
        * Supports all 32-bit Windows (95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP).
        * Can restore the self-bootability in many cases. It takes only a minute to run.
        * The Pro version is ideal for daily backup.
        * Supports common internal disk drives (IDE, SATA, SCSI).
        * Supports external USB/FIREWIRE drives (good for a laptop).
        * Competes with Norton Ghost, DriveImage, MaxBlast.
        * Much faster than any of them in typical daily backup.
        * Need not go to the DOS mode.   Operates in regular Windows environment.
        * Simple to use by novices.   IT professionals think it's great.

if you prefer a rule-based windows arranger, try Skrommel's WinWarden. just like winsizer, there's a one-time procedure where you have to add windows to the list. after that, it's all auto-pilot.. :)

reko100, check your PM.. btw, mouser, why not put the alpha version's link in public? maybe you can change the title bar of Farr's main window to say that this is the alpha version..

Skrommel's Software / Re: Accents
« Last post by lanux128 on January 23, 2007, 08:36 PM »
actually i use either AllChars or Autohotkey depending on the computer.. :) but i keep Accents just in case, i'm dumped someplace where either of the above-mentioned tools is not available..

anyway, back to your question.. if Accents is running, you can press the designated key repeatedly until you get to the character that you want.. also, as a visual guide, a tooltip will pop-out showing the available accented characters.. btw i think the screenshot will make things a bit clearer.. ;)

Typing the letter 'e'

The ini file I can understand but how do I add a hotkey?
did you meant the accented keys? if so, right-click on the systray icon & choose settings and the ini file will open..

then, e.g. the letter a, after 'key=a', add your own accents following by initial letter (a) at the bottom of the list. and you're good to go.. here's a sample of my ini file for letters 'a' & 'e' where i've added a few accented letters..

[1]
key=a
1=ã
2=à
3=á
4=â
5=ä
6=å
7=a

[2]
key=e
1=æ
2=ë
3=ê
4=è
5=é
6=e
