N.A.N.Y. 2014 / Re: NANY 2014 Release: ImgFloat (a tool for Screenshot Captor)
« Last post by wraith808 on December 28, 2013, 11:28 AM »
So you're saying that you drop a file onto imgfloat.exe and it runs and you see the image?  Then the program is working- it's something with how SSC is working with the image that it's not calling imgfloat at all.  We might need to ask mouser if there are any other cases where the external tool is not invoked.

Just tried it on a totally different machine that hasn't had it on it at all.  You shouldn't need the quotes.

The sequence is as so (one of the reasons I haven't done the help yet is to see what kind of problems people have)
1. Invoke your screenshot.
2. Choose any option other than save as and follow through with that option (the file has to be saved before it can be shown)
3. The imgfloat window should appear.  The first time there will be a slight delay.

the only other thing I can see is perhaps you have to put the executable path in quotes since you're in program files, i.e. the space in the file name?  When I originally tried it that way, it worked... but maybe you do need quotes around it.

If that doesn't work, just to troubleshoot, I'd suggest putting it somewhere other than in the program files directory, and using the portable config, and seeing if that works.

And you are using the standard SSC settings, correct?  Plugins don't get called on save as, I found out.

Check in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming

Is there an ImgFloat.config?  And/or an ImgFloat.log?

your screenshot looks correct... and you're using the default SSC settings, i.e. let it name and save the image, correct?

And done.  It does look better with the tweaks, IMO.  Let me know what you think.

Just a bit... I'm tweaking, but it's not the icon that indicates- it's the green check or the red x.  I figured that would be more obvious than changing the icon.

It should be fading in on hover... maybe I just need to make it fade in more and change the animation.  Let me tweak it a bit more.

New Release - Unless there's any other input, this is the final release, though I do plan to update with more documentation.

Changes:
1. Added ability to lock image in place.  If you mouse over the upper left hand corner, there is a lock icon; click that to toggle this mode.
2. Added about dialog.

Living Room / Kickstarter for Boardgamers
« Last post by wraith808 on December 27, 2013, 01:32 PM »
One thing that I've noticed is that storage for board games is just the same thing.  No matter how nice the bits and bobs are... you're left with a cardboard box to store them.  I use fishing tackle boxes for some things and they work... but really, you'd think that there would be something better.

Board Game Storage Chests, Tokens, Inserts & More

It's already reached the goal.  There are more assortments than I can adequately explain.

My negatives in my decisions on whether to buy or not (I haven't decided, as cool as it is)

1. The amount pledged is way above what was asked for.  Scaling is a problem with Kickstarters.
2. First created kickstarter.
3. No facebook linked.
4. It has a website (positive) but looks recently put together as the first article is only a month ago.

I'll probably get in on the lower pledge levels.  Just thought that someone might be interested, though I did want to throw in my thinking.

6 days to go as of now...

General Software Discussion / Re: 'logging off' & 'shutting down'
« Last post by wraith808 on December 27, 2013, 12:35 AM »
I couldn't say for sure re the 'phoning home', but that's not intrinsically what that means.  The difference between logging off and shutting down is that one is closing your session (logging off) and the other is doing things related to performing a complete power off.  You can log off and not shut down your machine.  And also note that when you first turn on the machine, if you have a password set or more than one user, you arrive at a log on screen- that state is the one that you arrive at by logging off.

That's the reason I said that.  I was just barely able to get in on one of the deals because of this.

Post New Requests Here / Re: So, about wallpaper changers...

Ah... I missed that part.  There are two places you can check for a way around it:

wallpapercycler.jpg

wallpapercycler2.jpg

But no way to check for a specific program.  For that, skwire's solution would probably be more optimal.  You could also have an AHK script that generates the shortcut and put it in a batch file that you run when you want to run diablo that does that first.

Just something you might want to also look at: Wallpaper Cycler.

Don't know if you already looked at it, but it seems like it meets your requirements, especially in my use.

I guess my ABP filters had gotten messed up.  :-[ Sorry.  Once I disabled ABP completely, it worked.

Thanks!

Basically, the slider goes 1,2,9, etc... so I tried to put in 5 and it wouldn't work.  Then tried 5.00 and no dice either.  Then I tried to tab out of the field after setting it... but that didn't work either.  I am using ABP, but have ghacks whitelisted, and the little badge has no numbers indicating blockage, but I'll completely disable it and let you know.

i was able to put my amount in manually and it worked ok -- maybe you have javascript disabled?

No, and I tried all sorts of combinations of changing focus, etc.  I was surprised when I got to paypal and it still said $1.
