General Software Discussion / Autoplay Repair
« Last post by lanux128 on May 12, 2007, 12:27 PM »
This tool can be used for removing corrupted entries from Windows XP's autoplay and even create new or modify existing so-called autoplay handlers quickly and easily.

Autoplay Repair
• Create, modify or delete (corrupted) Autoplay Handler entries from the Windows Registry.
• Have control of the main autorun sections in the Registry: add, edit or delete single entries.
• Disable or enable Autoplay for each installed drive on your computer.
• Create backups of Autoplay and Autorun sections to restore deleted or edited Registry entries if needed.
• Multi-language support.

another way is to get a good file manager as that will allow you view hidden files/folders, then you can let your sister use the computer as it is - with your files/folders hidden.. :)

nice approach by Microsoft.. i wonder if it can be used for providing technical support over the internet? a program like that would be fantastic.. :)
5168

good job, noutters.. the script will come in handy, i'm sure.. btw, if you don't mind, can i have a look at the AHK script? this is because i have my own AHK script into which i shoehorn all kinds of script that i need instead of running them separately.. :)

General Software Discussion / Re: Irfanview4 released
« Last post by lanux128 on May 10, 2007, 08:43 PM »
FastStone lets you grab thumbnails, rearrange them and then rename them in the new order. Plus the thumbs aren't obstructed when selected, plus it's portable, and the zoom function is awesome. Also, for just viewing images, there's nothing faster that I can think of.
point noted, Nighted but it'll be some time before i try out FastStone.. ;)

good point, TucknDar.. IrfanView excels as an image viewer, i don't think it was meant to be a full-featured thumbnail browser. that, of course, is my personal opinion.. :)
