I think AMPL falls between novice and power user! But if novice users are prepared to learn, they'll be okay. My initial problem was that the 2 programmes I needed in my script had 'special needs!'  ;) One had it's exe file buried in a third level folder, but Perry overcame that. Programmes like Ccleaner etc were relatively easy to set up.

Maybe 2 versions..

I didn't upgrade to 5 last year because the features I have in 4 were taken away - only in Pro version now, but will consider getting 5 on BDJ then upgrading to Pro!

Once I figured Desktop X, and the rest I love it! - I'm still on XP so the clear uncomplicated skins give me the 'Vista look' - Each to his own eh?  ;)

I actually have Impulse installed on my desktop, as I also have a subscription to Stardock's Object Desktop. However I uninstalled Fences on my notebook computer rather than install Impulse there.

Installing the Fences update on my desktop caused Impulse to reinstall over itself; they apparently did not include the ability to check and see if it is already installed!
