found another possible solution from this treasure trove - dougknox.com 8). Check the main page for easy restoration of default behaviour for other file-types..

here is direct link to the one that will be of interest to you..

urlwolf, is there any messages when you double-click the shortcuts? just like Darwin mentioned, check in the registry under the LNK key. here is something i found on the web:  http://en.allexperts...hortcuts-Working.htm :)

i'd like to use my Fn key (i'm a notebook user) but never managed to make it work...

Fn keys are not directly supported by AHK but there is a way to make them useable, i posted about it in this thread..

Have never heard of this program before but now giving it a shot on your good word.
I trust people here at DC.
much appreciated.. :)

Update: after installing CPUidle the indicator showed 98 to 99% and it was CPUidle itself the culprit.
Even after reboot it remained same.
i think Carol answered this for me so root of the problem lies elsewhere.. will let you know if i came across anything..

when it comes to media players, i'd say i'm being spoilt for choice.. :) there's KMPlayer, GOMPlayer, ALShow, Media Player Classic & etc.. Kantaris looks promising, but i'll await the verdict from other DC members..

To launch all results i think it's now Ctrl+Alt+Enter (not just Ctrl+Enter).. i forget why.

maybe this would refresh your memory, mouser.. :) btw, now that there is customisable hot-keys, how can i revert the action back to Ctrl+Enter?
4659
this AHK command can do that.. :)

dantheman, i was having serious instability issues that had nothing to do with OS or memory. only after installing CPU Idle did the problem subside, take a look here.. :)

Post New Requests Here / Re: Idea: Download directly to CD
« Last post by lanux128 on August 23, 2007, 02:39 AM »
there is a program called Burn to the Brim that might be able to help you to optimise your CD burning session..

Burn To The Brim is a utility which selects the group of files or directories (documents, mp3 files, whatever you like to burn) which optimally fills a cdr or other medium (or multiple CDRs/media).

The program analyses the files and folders in a folder you specify, and groups them in the best possible way. Most likely BTTB will find a near-perfect solution for you within one second, and a perfect one in just a couple more.

IPhile, quite a popular icon-changer program for Windows has been withdrawn from the web. in fact, i had just recommended IPhile in one of the DC thread but when i went to the website, i was surprised to see this message..

i don't mean to threadjack but on reading of the problems with Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C, i would just like to remind about this problem with conflicting shortcuts and being a keyboardist, this really gets in the way.. :)

btw, is the controversy over the packaging of ZillaRank still on-going? in fact, i think DC members should post the same response in the SMF forums to drive home the point.. :)

actually there is a simple approach.. unless the software is bundled or absolutely necessary to run a hardware (JRiver sounds like mp3 player, i'm not sure). one can always post a note like this and move on, just like urlwolf had done.. in the long run, the devs are the losers.. just my 2¢.. :)
