General Software Discussion / Re: Manage the display in the laptop
« Last post by Contro on October 19, 2020, 03:49 PM »
Close all active programs, also the ones in the system tray, one by one, and wait after you close one if the screen goes off. That should find you if one of your programs is causing this phenomenon.
In safe mode or in normal mode ?
Note : the display don't go off in safe mode...
Is normal this function don't go in safe mode ?

Google is my friend:
Open a CMD interface (as administrator), then type:
powercfg -energy -trace
After waiting a minute you should now see an overview of processes that make use of the Windows energy saving functionality. That should give you insight into the problematic software.

You can also open the Windows Event Viewer and filter out all logging except for 'Event Source: Kernel-Power' and 'event ID: 62'. Another way to find out what might cause your problem.

If you feel this type of Windows interface is not your thing, let someone who knows take a look at the events that took place on your laptop.

First attempt produce no interaction or results. I will try in different moments.

Running to try.
Best Regards

I opened the cmd.exe as admin and introducing powercfg -energy -trace
gives me the message : No se pudo cargar la biblioteca de Diagnóstico de eficiencia energética (energy.dll).

The above one was in 64 bits
I am trying with the cmd.exe in 32 bits :
Now I obtain :
Habilitando el seguimiento durante 60 segundos...
Observando el comportamiento del sistema...

 :-* :P

finally : Seguimiento completo .... and come back to the indicative point.
That's all I can see....

I am a little in despair with the screen options, the energy options.

So these are my need :
1. In my laptop turn off the display while the download continue. So don't enter in suspension, only turn off the display after a time.
2. Except of course if I am not plug connected to electricity.

At the present moment :
1. I have bad configured something. So the screen never turn off. I usually put in mininum of brillance with the keyboard option . F2 key .
2. I am using an app Radial menu v4 for turning off the display before I leave, but sometimes when I come back the display is on.

I will edit the post in a while after locate the display configuration, and energy configuration options.

Have a look at the whatsapp settings / storage usage:
you can delete all messages from a particular user or group. This may be helpful. 4wd's recommendation is (as usual) very helpful
Applying everything
Thanks a lot for all everyone in this world !!!!!!

Install Google Files from the Play Store:
https://play.google....droid.apps.nbu.files

It'll tell you how much 'junk' can possibly be removed and/or what is using up space, (apps, documents, images, etc, etc).

Make sure you know exactly what is going to get removed before doing it if you do.
Okis. I will do this.

Deleting the application-data is not very useful, you would have to log in to accounts anew, and set up configuration again, etc., and after doing that the (nearly) same amount of storage is used...

Best way to save storage space is to remove apps you don't need.

Yes Ath !
I have a lot of apps deactivated in the J5 : excel, facebook, powerpoint, word.
So I activate again and delete the data. I don't use those apps in android. So I don't suffer anymore.
With this measure I am plenty of space again   :-* :P

I don't understand.
I have less apps than in my other mobile Samsung J3 and less space.
do they have different versions of android? That could explain the newer one having less space. What does it have, only 16GB?
I am investigating again and again. I usually uninstall apps .
All my mobiles have android 9
I have learned to see this...
All my mobiles has the same internal memory : 16 GB
I have learned to see and understand that in android I can't see a lot of things i am used to see when exploring with windows.
But I have learned the operating system occupy abotu 5 GB... In the configuration I can see.
I have learnet the space occupy by the apps. In the configuration I can see this too....

So the mistery comes until I observ this.

In my main mobile (the J5) I have a huge whatsapp account of 2.5 GB to 3.0 GB of occupied space, while in the other two mobiles this don't happen.

That explain I have more apps installed in J3 than in J5, but less space in this last one.
So gain space in whatsapp may be important.

I have a good friend of mine who is very fond of beautiful girls. And so do I. I usually don't send images or videos to anyone, except my own photos and images. I have learned to configurate manually downloading videos. My friend send me often videos of 10 or more MB. Obviously we can tell anyone don't send me photos or videos. I have observed some pals only send and never read nothing. Sometimes finally I make the decision to block them.

Is a good decision too is the person resend all about covid. I have my own information sources and only when I want to see about that. We need protect our health.

With this method  I nearly finish my problem.

I have less apps than in my other mobile Samsung J3 and less space.
I have examined one by one the folder in the phone folder and only the whatsapp weigths about 1.50 GB. the rest less than 1 MB .
But only 890 MB available of 10.8 GB !!!!
Is there hidden folders ?
How can I solve my problem ?

The sudoku free for windows is more friendly..... until this moment
sudokuki is more friendly in the memo option because when you go to insert a number you select the mode.

But in both cases not are very fast.

The notes or memo option and the automatic recognition of a number used is very friendly in the sudoku free.

I'll try both and comment. Casually a few minutes ago I received a phone call from Amazon Madrid.
I am disgusted because I observ an offer and take screenshots with screenshot captor . I bought the product at the first price and a few minutes after the price vary to almost three times. Five minutes after the product was not available.
I investigate and the final price for similar products is 6 times the first price.
My irritation is because if you don't notice this you are waiting weeks for the product and finally they return the money without the product.
I suppose is an error of the seller, but I have a similar problem with a hard disk and I am not ready to excuse this sort of things again and again.
It's not fair. Suppose you really need the product you will never receive. Or suppose you don't have enough money to the second option and have to wait....

When the person calls me says they are recording all the phone call. So I answer : Me too.
 :-* :P

Best Regards
Thanks a lot Ath.
