sometimes I'd love to know what that last image was / where it is located (I've got a lot of photos).
This has been requested before for my Multi Photo Quotes screensaver system, and it wouldn't be hard for me to add.

Whether that's useful to you depends entirely on whether you use MPQ.

It can be hard for programmers to come up with good ideas for programs to write. Do you have an idea for a program you'd like to see someone code for our NANY 2017 event?  Post it here!

This will be the 10th 11th NANY? Damn.
It would be nice if we could get an alternate mug design to offer this year.. Anyone up for it?
Maybe we can offer t-shirts this time too, for those who are overflowing with mugs :)

Since 2007 we have held an annual event that we call NANY (New Apps for the New Year), where we ask the coders who hang out on DonationCoder to create some new piece of free software and share it with the world on January 1st of the new year.

NANY is really the funnest thing we do on this site, and it's one of the few times we can all play together.  There are no winners or losers, it's simply a celebration of programming and creating new software and sharing it with the world.  You can target any operating system (desktop or mobile) or even make a web-based tool.  It can be a game, utility, large application, whatever.  DC takes makes no claim on your software, it's just an event to encourage you to share a creation with others.  Best of all, everyone who participates gets a free commemorative coffee mug.

Yeah it may require a little more careful watching on our part, but these things seem to come in waves.. they try an approach for a while until they come to accept that someone is paying attention and killing their posts before they take root, and then they die off until the next round.

That isn't a new threat is it? It's just another thing spammers have always done.  It just requires a little more thought to figure out if they are a spammer, but the punishment is the same: delete and ban :)

Go to the Print Options tab in Screenshot captor and uncheck the checkbox for "Add automatic caption to every printed image".

For #1, to remove the zoom box, uncheck the second checkbox on the "Selection Capture Options" tab, labeled "Show zoom panel under cursor".

For #2, can you elaborate on if the delay happens on every capture, even if you do multiple in a row.. or if it only happens if you don't use SC for many hours.
If it happens on capturing active windows, try unchecking the second checkbox on the "Window Capturing 1" tab labeled "Try to capture Aero Glass transparency effects".
If it happens only if you haven't used SC in a long while, you could try changing the "Inactive Memory Use" option on the "Startup Options" tab.

If it's open source, the easiest and best thing would be for someone to modify the program to add the feature you are interested in.

What happens to image clips? Can they be migrated with the database, or do they get left behind?

good question.

Images are stored as normal files, sorted into subdirectories by date.  You can see that if you go to the File menu and choose "Browse Clip Image Directory".
The text notes associated with an image are stored in the database as normal, as well as the path to the image file.

So if you merged clips the images would migrate over if their location didn't change.  If you merged clips from another computer, you'd have to move over the image files as well, possibly changing the paths to the image files if they have changed.

If an image can no longer be found (for example if user deletes it) then it will still be listed in the clip list database, it's just the image won't be available.

There is no way to do what you want currently, since CHS was never intended to work with multiple databases.

If I had to support this, perhaps the cleanest way is to add an import operation to the existing export operation.  So the process would be: Export from your secondary CHS database, delete all the rows you don't want imported into your main database, then import into your main database.

window titles are pretty easy to monitor.  i believe system tray icons would be much harder to do.

He's probably itching to take another adventure if anyone wants to host him..

Well, I don't have much experience with junction points, though I understand they can be very useful in some cases.  But because CHS, FARR, and the rest of my apps offer a simple way to tell the program exactly where to store your data files (or run them completely portably), it seems like junction points are overkill.

The Last Kingdom on Netflix:
Screenshot - 8_26_2016 , 7_05_50 PM.png
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4179452/

The first episode is just ok, and the last couple get a bit silly, but the majority of it in the middle is really quite good.

From IMDB:
"The year is 872, and many of the separate kingdoms of what we now know as England have fallen to the invading Danes, leaving the great kingdom of Wessex standing alone and defiant under the command of King Alfred. Against this turbulent backdrop lives our hero, Uhtred. Born the son of a Saxon nobleman, he is captured by the Danes and raised as one of their own. Forced to choose between the country of his birth and the people of his upbringing, his loyalties are ever tested. What is he? Saxon or Dane? On a quest to reclaim his birthright, Uhtred must tread a dangerous path between both sides if he is to play his part in the birth of a new nation and, ultimately, recapture his ancestral lands.
The setting is a historical one of England roughly around 800-900 A.D. The conflict involves the vikings who are eager to take more ground and the native English peoples or more correctly the Saxons who desire to hold the ground they have and repel the Vikings from England. The main protagonist is a fictional character although his birth place and enemies who contest him; Ubba (Ubbe Lothbrok) and Guthrum are real figures."

I don't know if i would recommend junction points but you do remind me that if you want to run CHS portably you can do that, either downloading the portable zip version or editing the ConfigDir.ini to say it's portable rather than specifying a hard coded path.
