Nah, you did fine. Andy was right, I was saying "duh" to myself.I don't know what the 'duh' is about.I think just a recognition that the answer was obvious (to check the Mozilla site).-MilesAhead (December 24, 2009, 01:00 AM)
I probably should have drilled down to the specific question that was answered and eliminated the ambiguity.-AndyM (December 24, 2009, 07:07 AM)
Wide screen does not matter here, as toolbars are mostly horizontal. My only reason is that I like the buttons that i mentioned above. however, it is kind of redundant. if I think about it, there are three places on the toolbar where i can enter google searches. Oh well. Actually make that two, ask.com has hijacked my location bar and i don't know how to fix it yet.
I don't expect you to be one of us, but I thought you actually had a reason to use a separate bar for something you can do well without it.

Really? I typed "smart bar" in the search at the addon website, and I didn't come up with anything. I'll try again. It would be nice if there's was a smart location bar "manager" out there, but i couldn't find one. There is a bunch of extensions changing the smart location bar in every possible way, depending on what exactly you want...-superboyac (December 23, 2009, 10:00 PM)-Tuxman (December 23, 2009, 10:17 PM)
Why do you want to use screenspace-wasting bars for trivial tasks at all?-Tuxman (December 23, 2009, 10:18 PM)
If you are assuming I'm like one of you ultra-minimalist guys, please don't.
I use Aeris Calendar (http://www.aeriscalendar.com/). I got it for the calendar features but it's nice to have its nice weather monitoring. That's cool. I'm very choosy about calendar software also. Normally, I don't combine two different functions for software unless, in some very unique cases, the software does multiple things very well. But it's nice when that happens.-tide (December 23, 2009, 10:23 PM)

Same for me, I have tested many of these apps and been disappointed by pretty well all of them for one reason or another.Nice suggestion! I like the screenshots a lot. However, I installed it and it keeps crashing all the time. As soon as I open the options screen, it's crashing continuously. I'm mad because it looks like just the program I'm looking for. This is on Windows XP.
But, do you know Meteo Fusion ? I am using it all the time now and I'm really pleased with it - give it a try out...-joiwind (December 23, 2009, 04:34 PM)
If it's one graphics card with two connections, try switching the cables.Yeah, I know. But I wanted to see if it could be done with some kind of software or tweak.
If it's two cards, then I'm not sure if you want to switch, depending on the card's abilities.-cmpm (December 23, 2009, 12:56 PM)
I had this problem intermittently for a long time also, and found this solution recently:No, that doesn't fix it. I mean, yes, it fixes it in the sense that everything seems to be back to normal. However, the monitors will then be in the order of 2-1, which i don't like. i want to actually change the monitor numbering. Why? Because many programs remember which monitor they last ran on, and when they switch like this, you have your programs opening on the opposite monitors than you like. So, the real, ideal fix is to renumber the monitors.

I usually just send company A's junk-mail to company B, in company C's self-addressed/stamped envelope.Ha! Funny!
