AOL had a couple killer ideas. They got washed out by the forces of time. I don't recall a screen ever like that, I was as loyal as they came.

That's why I posted some neutral comments about AOL's sale of patents to MS, AOL never ever threatened MS in the IP space that I recall in the news.

And only Just Enough! That the founder is committed!  Heil Mouser!  (Wthout Godwinning this thread. That's his problem to solve!) heh.
3958
Let's hope the donatin' spirit lasts longer than I!
We're up to $6,781 which is a couple of $5 dollar donations, which I know is way more than Mouser dreamed of, but Friends, Loyalists, join the Frenzy, embrace the spirit, of the Hallowed Holy Temple of the Devs! (And Hangers on!)
3959
Nah Mouser, you deserve it - because you are entertaining a couple of "minor features" is why you will rule screenshots : )
3960
To me, it is only "best in class" if it actually covers people's workflows. I have been begging working with Mouser to implement about 2-3 features that keep me from using it. All told they are quite easy fixes. Im my opinion, on a broad level a High End Solution (eek did I say that?) needs to totally subsume the abilities of certain low level apps. Fortunately, my modest requirements are easy to do, and Mouser has already implemented one, and the second one is ... uh... under negotiation.

Then once certain workflows are covered, you can do the switchover.

Vaguely I hear that happens a lot to shut down subversive ideas in movies. Aka turn them into false Straw Man objects of ridicule.

Hmm, even Topmost Toggle can't hold the focus when UrlPack loads. It does still keep this window active, but I have to keep clicking it back active to keep typing. Best case is set it on an "insightful" article to read.

I do think it's "in the scope" of your utility, though I accept if sometimes limitations arise. However, I also believe in the role of Perspective, either this is not possible in XP but might be for example in Windows 7 (looking to be like the next Long Term Windows without the Metro crap of Win8). But per a note elsewhere, thanks for looking. 1 chance in 20 I'll even throw it to the 3rd party coder crowd, but it's prob not on my high hit list.
3963
It's not our imagination; or at least mine. Things WERE easier in the past.

Here's the movie Convoy which runs an entire plot line that 50 truckers could demolish the cops in 4 states and almost make it work. Today, that would call 75 DHS vehicles to declare them felons.

Top Ten product placement for Mack Trucks, Inc. though! :)
3964
Yeah, so I forget how TreePad performed on that count. But vaguely, prob. not perfect.

So there you have it, the best I know!

All hands on deck! Mouser will be making his 30,000'th post in about ... a month? Don't anycritter let him get away without a Mouser Party!
3966

In a way this topic is about Tree-type programs in general. Heh I don't use the contacts tab and I never search for anything!   So it's that Vive La Difference dept. "Trade you Search for Web Books". :)

And no need to "gloat", I'm not a Fanboy. To muddy waters further, the runner up program I think was TreePad Enterprise (which has now since expired on me.) It handled "inserted Objects" better and who knows what else. So there's about 5-7 of these top tree programs out there, and it goes right back to my remark the first time of "what's the dealbreaker". If you want Search, and I want Web Books, we might end up on different programs. Only rare does a "program dominate all categories".

ps. Tao your enthusiasm is heart warming  :-*

Thank you! Enjoy it while it lasts! Vacations make me giddy : )

I'll be all somber and dignified again by Monday!  :P

Here we go! (Launches into a thundering parody of Ray Stevens Shriner's Convention!)

Weeeeeel, the countdown on the last day of the fundraiser roars on! Money is flowing, goodwill is spilling, and Cody works the crowd! Donations are churning from the crowd, and then Cody flies out for a mile! It's a unique global phenomenon where all the members have a fine ol' time!

It's the 7th annual convention of the grand mystic congregation of the Coders of our time!

Well it was all arranged by the Mousy Mastermind, and the new CMS will make the local hearts swell with pride! And when the hearts swell, the bar swells from $6,762 to $6,767, with more to come!

It's the 7th annual convention of the grand mystic congregation of the Coders of our time!

Plus we got to talk about ... (Truman Show Closeup)

*Giving DonationCoder.com More Money! Because it makes better global citizens for us all!*  :D

After all, the donation bar stands at $6,739! Only $261 lonely dollars to finish it off! But hurry! The fundraiser ends tomorrow? Won't someone Think Of The Coders?"

And someone did! The bar is at $6,762 now! The big bashful eyes of Cody are working!
3970

Heh was the 1 penny a reference to that "destroy DC with penny donations" thread a while back? : )
3971
It's been fun chatting! And we have no reason to fear the MouserMonster because we stayed on topic!

Remember my equation? "rewards for tracking..."

"$50 reward for the first perfect chart that didn't get from a site admin!"  :P

(I'm not paying, but you get the idea!)

3973
Yes, I was updating my post as you were posting, darned it ;p. I finally got your meaning, lol.

EDIT: And I'm in that constant of people who don't bother..

So, yea, who has done this? Anyone? I think you over-rated the liklihood anyone did. Of course, there is the issue of concurrent donations.

I almost did! But I figured someone else was! Don't tell me that I'm the only one who even thought about it! Lil' ol' me isn't that unique!

Whee!
3975
No, not divide - record every change in the chart since day 1!

You know, it went up these little amounts! So the advanced math you need is subtraction!

"$837 today at 1PM, it was $805 at 12:37..." ;D

But yes, that doesn't tell you the subscriber base. But it does capture every donation for two weeks (sample bias etc etc.)
